2 strokes!!! The 4-strokes are dropping their riders in the dirt too much!!

LOL

Didn’t seem like the riders were hurt as often when the series only contained 2-strokes

More weight, power and speed equals harder augers into the dirt I'd say.

More like more weight and faster tracks.

That was almost Anderson tonight!! He almost looped it off that step off leading to the sand corner. My ass puckered for him!

100% I agree, the attrition rate is 2 or 3 times what it was with 2 strokes. Plus the race action/entertainment was just better.
It looked, smelled and sounded like you were at a race. Now it sounds like you might be at a mud-bog, monster-trucks or dirt-track.

Yep. Imagine if they'd rode 2 stroke 500s in sx. That's about what a 450 is like, weight wise and rotational mass wise. There would've been a ton more injuries in the old days if that would've happened.

Bring back tracks that don't end your season if you go down. That track tonight was absurd.

I think they used to get injured a lot, I would even go as far to say they crashed more...but without watching every single race and taking note of all crashes (most you dont see), then its subjective for sure.

Racer brain say need be fastest. Need be easier. Need win. Racer can't fix racer brain. The Hondacopters didn't force the 4t on anyone back in the early 2000's. It was racer brain.

When you listen to music, do you enjoy it?
Sound is more important to racing than it might seem. People don't like 2t sounds for purely nostalgic reasons. The bikes sound rad. I want to enjoy the races like I hear music. Bring back the sound.

When you smell something rare, does it make you feel like you're in a little club? I want to smell oil. Enough said Grinning

When you see injuries, do you care? If you could fix them, what would win out between racer brain and injury reduction?

When you hand over money, would you rather it were less and on equally fun things that hold better value?

Still, the 450's looked great tonight. Guys get hurt and then we just get to see the next ones step up. Run 'em through boys! Unsure

What we need is a rule change at the pro level to obsolete the big 4t's. Screw 'em. Make them considerably smaller and comparable to the 250 two-stroke. I can almost hear and smell the glorious day it happens. What's old is new again.

Difference is that he got up and finished second still. Seems like when they go down now they are done.

What you fail to understand is what has been learnt about power curves and bike set up. What works. What goes fast around the track.
So even if two strokes were re-introduced immediately, their tuning would be different to what it used to be, their power curves would be tuned to be close to what the four strokes are putting out, they would be going just as fast.
Oh, and they wouldn't be 'cheap' either.
You just cannot turn back the clock.

Who cares? Racer brain cares.

Riding four-strokes started back in the early days. They were virtually wiped out before Yamaha and Doug Henry. Clocks mean nothing

So true! You crash now there's zero tumble room. Now you crash, you instantly slam into the next obstacle, jump, whoops, whatever! Its that sudden stop slamming into the next obstacle! Ricky got up from this, ran to his bike, back in the race.
