Cool shot. Do you have any pictures of the tires the guys were running in step up? A picture I saw of Hannys looked like it had a fair amount of the rubber already worn (assuming so it would hook up on the hardpack better).

I gotta say I been using Pirelli front tires and had one on my bike and just put a new one on and they are the best tires I have ever used so far. Sweet pic.

Looks like they were trying to get all the traction they could outta that tire!! We saw some pics posted on here like that not to long, that's crazy how they can run some of these works set ups on a hard track like that. Pretty cool.

Not sure. The guy who wrenched for Justin this weekend reads (and occasionally posts) here...maybe he'll chime in.

And don't most or many of them secretly run Tubliss / or a tubeless system of some kind? If so, he could be running 9 or 10psi... looks that way from the photo.

Air, what air?

Awesome pic Gibby.. Man, I wish my tires could do that, or better yet, I wish I could make any tire do that.

Mousse inserts seem like they wouldn't be the best option. They add so much unsprung weight. Tire balls or the TuBliss system seem like a great alternative.

On second thought, the possibility of "burping" a tubliss setup seems too likely

Riding the knobs on the right edge in a left hand corner. This changes the whole thought process for tire pressure setup and cornering technique.

It's not the same as a mountain bike setup, I'm talking about the Tubliss brand.

That looks so sketchy. I don't know how they get away with running pressure that low.

I have a feeling having an unlimited supply of rims helps.

Back in maybe 06 or 07, one of the 1st years of the national at thunder valley, we were checking out the bikes, we noticed Windhams back wheel was toasted, maybe from super low pressure?
