I know this is probably the 100th Blake Baggett thread since his legal beef with ATV/MC-KTM-WPS...but I have heard nothing lately. I believe I read here somewhere that he and the team settled out of court for some figure, but he quite naturally burned that bridge for sure.

Have I missed the news...or has Blake officially announced his retirement from racing? Is he stepping away into his family business, and to become a full-time Daddy and husband?

If not...is there any news, or even any fairly reliable rumors as to what his move will be? Is he even being looked at by any team seriously?

There are enough real deal "insiders" around here, that there might be some real answers.

I'm no superfan...but racing is a lot better with Blake Baggett on the gate.

He’s done. Let it go. Stick a fork in it. No one cares anymore.

Well it's pretty damn certain that you don't, anyway.

Kind of a bummer the guy lived and breathed moto. Oh well. Next topic will be who's worthy of the #4, or retire the 4,
....or do anything with the 4, ...except give it to the guy who gets 4th LaughingLaughingLaughing

I guess you don’t like hearing the truth. Stop starting dumb threads that have been posted over and over again.

I think retirement is safe to say. Sure an official announcement would be nice, but I’m not holding my breath. The compound in Florida is for sale.

Didn't I just see #4 on a prototype Triumph Tiger 1200? Shocked

There are rumors he has at least ridden since fully recovering from his injuries but nothing about motoing down to get back in race form. I imagine he's happy working for the family business. He wouldn't be the first to step away without much of a goodbye.

Why its so hard for riders to tell about retirement? Took 5 years from Bubba and seems will take least year or two from Baggett also? Yes some want to stay important to check some money from industry but it seems not case with Blake as he is gone like he wasnt there at first place.

Why do so many people care? Even care enough to create a thread every two weeks? Plenty of dudes out there to fill the 8th to 12th place spot. Sport is better with BB gone and working for daddy.

Because we are fans of the sport. You like to know whether a guy is done or not.

Imagine Patrick Mahomes just not showing up for training camp next year. Never saying a word about it. Just gone. Doesn't play in the regular season. You think fans are just going to say nothing?

You sure it Was RMATV and not the actual team owner that did the burning? RMATV is just the title sponsor if I’m not mistaken.

I believe the reason most true fans of the sport liked having Blake around is the fact that on any given day he could show up and WIN the race

he was on a very short list of 450 riders that could do that ever

He could still ride better than 99.9% of the world but he certainly wouldn’t be able to return to what he once was. Maybe qualify for a pro MX/SX with some serious training and riding. But he’s not competing with the top guys at this point.

Any given year more like
1 career Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 450SX Win
2 career Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship 450 Wins

Comparing Brake to Mahomes is a STRETCH.

More like if Charlie Whitehurst didn’t show up
