Off topic but I’ve always thought it would be cool if Gas Gas, funny name and all, tried their hand at motorcross bikes. Their trials and enduro bikes seem top notch so they obviously have the small engine tech down. Would be curious to know why they haven’t ventured into the motocross scene given so much of their R&D and tech would cross over. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than myself can enlighten me.

Gas Gas made motocross bikes in the late 90s early 2000's. I rode a 250 which had a 4-spd tranny, it was a good bike except for the transmission, way too wide ratio for that engine.\

Skagit Powersports near you had a new Gasser MC250 on the floor at one time.

That's a nice scooter! We never get the exotic stuff here in mn. Just a bunch of four wheel quadrosexuals claiming quads are core.

I think Bradshaw is awesome and I understand why he is repping that brand, and again, they probably are good bikes...

BUT when I think of Bradshaw it's not GasGas, it's YAMAHA.

Emig is repping Husky, McGrath is repping Kawasaki, Villopoto is repping Yamaha, it's only fitting that Bradshaw is repping GasGas.

Touche’. It’s almost as if they’re doing it for the money rather than love of the brand...

Appreciate the history lesson. In that case I’d like to revise my question to ask if anyone knows why they decided to get out of the MX bike business and focus solely on off-road? My guess would be they were unable to make a dent in the Japanese manufactures market share dominance but that’s purely conjecture. Perhaps now that KTK/Husky have proven it’s possible they might consider giving it another shot at some point.

I dont really know but i would guess they seen the success KTM was having with woods and enduro and the market would be a little more open.
My dad is a fairly good mechanic, he worked on alot of pros bikes back in the 90's and he told me he got a chance to rip into one and everything looked works and hand made. They paid attention to detail and cut no corners.

Why would you want more than four gears you could almost just get by with three.

Me too - and not just any Yamahas either, it has to be the mid-80s - mid 90s white ones. I thought it was strange to see him on a blue one in '96. Not a strange as seeing him on a KTM a few years ago, but still strange.

Not with the engine it was in. It was a mid-top engine and had the gaps were too big. A 5spd would have been good.

Agreed.

And again, I get it, time moves on but I liked when he wore Fox or Axo.

Sounds like Fly is treating him like gold, Fox should have too, influences the vet market.

I'd like to see Bradshaw on a Gas Gas like this - Vaclav Kovar's - at an MX race.

Not sure what actual capacity it's run at, but I think I've seen his name and the Gas Gas in classes at MXGP, other than the EMX300 class, this year

This is the first MC (MX model) Gas Gas made to my knowledge. In 1998 and was made until 2009.
