Wow, that 144 sounds great! The sound of a good 2-stroke and that scenery bring back lots of memories for me. I haven't been back home to the Houston area in years, and was almost afraid Bravo wasn't there any more. I did a lot of laps there. Thanks, CR500Rider...you made my morning!

Ok somebody tell me what that clicking noise is, Jake's gopro is doing the exact same thing. I've put cotton balls all around it in the case. Nice vid by the way!!

Here's a vid with the same clicking noise.

I'm not exactly sure why this one is worse than normal (maybe something is loose) but if you take the rubber seal out of the door it should improve a lot. It will let the natural outside noise in so all the small stuff wont sound so loud in comparison. I remember before I removed mine I had to crank the speakers up to hear the bike then if it hit a tree branch my speakers would nearly explode!!

The clip on the helmet (stick on plastic base) gets loose when crashing or handling the the GoPro. Replace it.

This one also needs to be pointed up more.

Oh wow, the squeeking sound was horrible, I lasted about 30 seconds.

in that 30 seconds, I learned three things:

The motor has issues, for some reason, it goes completely silent and slows down on the face of jumps

The squeaking sound is HORRIBLE

The gopro itself is aimed far too low to know what's happening, besides some horrible squeak, and a 125 motor that screams, but dies on jump faces. I would get it checked out.

You could easily overjump everything at Rio on an 80, maybe that explains it.. There's nothing "wrong" with that engine I can guarantee you. If you could have stomached it out to the last half, you would see the finish line jump. The majority of 250fs that were there hit it from the outside. I have no idea why the camera squeaks like that. It is tight inside the holder.

What was happening then? Some reason, face of the jump, or right before, the motor goes silent? Something is very, very wrong with it.

That squeaking sound is horrible I had the same issue on my go pro it was caused by a poorly fitting clip once I replaced the clip it fit very snug into the track and the squeak was gone. As for the motor it sounds really strong.... I guess you need to pin it off the jump to flat or somethings broke...HAHAHA

I tried again. I see you approach a jump wide open, then right before it, the motor goes silent? Think it might be a jetting issue?

I've already explained "why" you're hearing, the throttle chop on the faces of some of the jumps and you've chosen to ignore it. I have nothing else to say to you about it.

Nice fork setup. Forks were the worst part of those bikes.

Awesome! You went to the internet and found a cute picture of what you think I am thus showing your supposed superiority. The problem here is, you've confused being mad with refusing to put up with clueless stupidity.

Very cool! Must be Suzuki forks? I bet that setup works very well. In fact, I'm starting to wonder why I never thought of doing that.

I had a free basketcase RM125 that I brought home just for those forks. Buddy of mine wanted to build the bike so I gave it to him for some suspension work on another project. Still want a set of those....

CR nice bike, what are those forks off of ?
96'-98' RMs came with 49mm twin chamber conventional Showas. Those are off a 98' RM250. For those interested, the 96' is slightly different internally and has more underhang below the axle than the 97'/98'.

Thanks for the info CR, how do those forks rate between say 87-88 CR 250 forks and the newer USD Showas that come on the 2003-2005 CR 250s ?
