#68 Tyler Bowers making his season debut in Houston on the PC 250f, where do you guys think he will end up on his first ride? I'm thinking third or fourth, with Marv continuing his streak and Wilbur in second.

If he could run third or fourth he wouldn't still be running the AX series 10th-12th if he has a good run.

Normally, I'd agree with this. But I tend to think he'll do closer to what the OP says, just because the East coast isn't particularly stacked this year. Lots of young, inexperienced and inconsistent talent, but I think he has a shot at a top five for sure

He had some really good rides last year and showed the speed to be around the top 5, but he seemed to have some bad luck with crashes. I'm rooting for him to put in some strong finishes, he seems to be a guy that could have a good series if he ran the entire season in SX.

He should be happy if he cracks the top ten. I'm hoping him and Friese will go at it at some point.

He has a shot. Should be all healed from his injury last month I hope. We have seen 1st time podium finishers on the East already.

Has always had a ton of talent and also always thought he was too big for the 250f, but with this bike I see a possible top 5 in the cards an maybe a podium, he can haul the mail

Top 4, and like Mitch always does, I'm sure he'll get great bonuses for podiums.

I would bet a Hundi that he would finish 2nd in Reliant Stadium!
Blake Wharton, Just doesn't look like he's into it (Racing) I think his interest has now turned to music.
Will Hahn, Having a problem staying on 2-wheels lately (But is having his best season ever, and I hope he wins the championship!)
Marvin Musquin, Is on a roll... (But is only top 5 speed if he was racing the West Coast)
Jeremy Martin, Is all over the place (I really his go-for-broke riding style, and he will be in it to win it next year)
All the rest of the riders are all over the place!
Really Sucks that Kyle Peters got injured (I like his smooth riding style, But needs to pick-it-up a second or two a lap)

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter, and or Passover!

Hey'll be very close to where Thompson has been finishing. I'd say he's got the speed to run between 4-10 but the top guys seem to have a second or two a lap that if Bower's had it, he wouldn't be racing arenacross.

Although from the look of the track map the shorts straights and extra turns might suit guys like Bowers and Thompson who are used to tracks like that from running arenacrosses up until the east coast started.

Really? You'd bet $100? How about $20 since my wife would kill me if I bet $100. $20 says he doesn't podium.

Danster, I have no idea what you just said. Every time you post I start to read what you are writing, but my eyes end up back on your avatar and I forget what you were trying to say.

Back when they had the first US open of supercross at the Vegas MGM Grand everyone was saying that the AX guys would be killing the SX guys because it was going to be such a small AX style track. This was back when the AX field was much deeper with talent also.

People were betting money on the AX guys to kick butt, then they ran the race and the normal SX guys who are the best of the best made the AX guys remember why they were riding the AX series.

Bowers is the king of AX now but I think he will have a tough time staying in the top ten.

Darcy Lange didn't he come from AX right into SX one year on a PC bike and was battling for wins ?

I have to say top 3 just for the fact that hes on a PC Bike. The kid has the skills but does he have the SX preparation? Probably.

Wishing him the best!!!!

Yes. His SX results before that year were actually similar to Bowers.

I think Bowers was top 5 a few times in 250SX last year but crashed late... so top 5 this year is where he should be and I wouldn't be surprised if he were really close or in front of Martin and Wharton. His longest race this winter was 6 minutes long and he's been dealing with that broken shoulder but he's in shape; shouldn't be a problem to last 15 minutes.

Going out on a limb here but 5-8 somewhere. He will need some time on the bike and Supercross has not been kind to him in the past. The coast is pretty thin though, so who knows?

Aside from the PC/Geico guys, he's making more money racing the Arenacross series than the rest of Lites riders racing both the SX & MX series. Especially with his championship bonus. He'll be way better than 10-12th. Not saying he's going to podium right away, but he should be around the too 5.

Anything can happen at these races and always does, but I believe he is a top 5 - 10 place rider in SX, and my guess is an 8th place at Houston.

With a start I think 3rd or 4th is where he fits right now. I don't think he can run with Hahn and Musquin, though.

My stupid guessing would agree with that. But tons of pressure, I hope he doesn't DNF. Risk of him trying to hard given this great opportunity. His results would give merit to his own accomplishments in the AX series as well...

Interesting how this plays out.
