Boots for wide feet?

Hello I’m just getting into dirt biking and I was looking to buy some motorcycle boots but I need them for a very wide foot 4e and the only boot I could find was very expensive. I’m looking for some boots in the $150-$250 range? Any help would be awesome thanks.

I have a very wide feet and for me the Fox Instinct are the most confortable boots on the market but don’t forget to take one size higher than usual cause Fox runs small on sizes.

You can find good deal on old instinct (2017/2018 models)

There is a sweet search function at the top of the page you could use to find the eleventy seventy past threads on this very subject.

Or just get SG10s at that price point and be done with it

In your price range I would look at the Fox Comp boots (used to be Comp 5s but I think the name has changed). I’ve used nothing but Comp 5s for probably the last 6 years and I have pretty wide feet, so I’d say the new Comp boot is worth looking at.

Any Gaerne boot will run a little big and wide. I have wide feet and they run big on me. For your price range, look at the GX-1. It's not a $500 boot, but it is still a quality boot that will last a long time. They take a little longer to break in, but overall they are a very solid boot and they are for bigger feet. They typically run big by about a half size (but they aren't offered in half sizes).

Check the dirt bike depot out. They tend to have nice used boots. Gaerne sg12 are definitely the widest boost I’ve tried on. If you google used mx boots there are a few other sites that have them.

Gearne’s are for wide feet...avoid Sidi’s.

I have the sg12s and wide feet. I know theyre not cheap, but when you need boots for extra wide feet or big calves, they get expensive.

SG10's as most folks noted, but Tech 7's are also catered to a wider foot and they are super comfy. They feel more connected to my foot than my old SG10's.

This question always cracks me up.

Sidi Crossfire SRS's are narrow, BUT CROSSFIRE TA's ARE WIDE WIDE WIDE. Wider than Gaerne's actually.

No, I am not joking.

Gaernes are wide, Forma's too.

Tech 7s are not wide, but often people buy / wear them one size large. If one does this, when they pack out, they may become sloppy.

Boot fit is more about SHAPE than width, although both are factors. IN YOUR PRICE RANGE, I would look at Gaerne GX-1s, or Forma Terrain TX's.

If you can go over, my suggestion is SG-10s, for their excellent materials and quality, and of course, wide fit.

Hope that helps.

I have wide feet and 21" calves and just got some SG12's. I love them.

The price is scary but there is some amazing sales on last years colours (at least here in UK) I got my SG12's for £290.00 and they're plain white too!

Folks, this man LOVES boots.

Fully agreed...

Folks who say Sidi are for narrow feet have evidently never tried on/ridden the TA soles. The Sidi TA sole in general vs. Gaerne TA sole...

Sidi TA is a WIDE toe box boot from my experience with the Crossfire 2 and X-3 TA units. Even wider than Gaerne GX-1 TA.

Sidi TA is wider and the toe box lower as well. Sidi has terrific heel retention, nice and snug. Kick ass boots.
