I had some Tech 10's and the inner bootie killed me. I have pretty big legs. Opinions?

Garne. I got chicken legs but a lot of my wider legged customers have found success with the SG-12's

I will 2nd, 3rd or 4th the SG-12's. I have large calves and have found the SG-12's to be the best fitting. The Sidi's are a close second as you can adjust the fronts.

Narrow around the foot, but not the calves. I have big calves, wear knee braces and the Sidis work the best for me. And yes, I tried gaerne, a-stars and fox.

Give the Sidi Crossfire SRS a try.

Oh and I would have to say the 12s as well. I always thought SIDI were narrow everywhere and super stiff.

I have wide, short feet & large calves. Not tried SG12's but Sidi crossfires are the best fitting I've found.

I think Sidi crossfire and Gaerne SG12 are the best for people with thick calves since they have the most adjustability of the mainstream high-end boots. I have bigger calves than the really slim guys but the Tech 10s are perfect for me.

I have monster legs. Gaerne are literally the only boots I have found that fit.

I have big calves, Sidi's has alot of adjustment to make up for it. I also wear Knee braces.

See I have narrow feet, and small calves...and I feel like my Sidi Crossfires barely fit around my knee guards...am I missing some adjustability function?

You may be the only person in the world with wide feet that thinks Sidi's fit great.

I also have quite wide feet, for reference I could not get my foot into a tech 10 without going up 3 sizes. Currently own 3 pairs of Sidi's and just ordered another pair today. SG12 are comfortable too.

I'm shocked...I have narrow feet, SG-12's were way to roomy in the foot....Sidi's fit perfect. Until now, everyone I've spoken to said the same thing...learn something every day I guess.

I would stay away from Alpinestars Tech 10s, I have rather large calves and these are pretty tight. Throw on some shin guards and you got a real party down there.

First, I don't think sidi's are as narrow as they once were. Second, by removing and adjusting a few phillips screws you can make the calf opening huge. And last, once you ride with the SRS and get used to it, you won't want to ever wear another type of boot. Besides the protection factor, it also makes for a very externally small foot bed. I once tried to wear an older pair of non SRS soled boots and it felt like trying to ride with insulated snow boots on. If you have big feet, (size 14 here) this is a game changer.
