Bogle doubled. he's coming up the back side of landing. Honda is in the air coming down to land triple, right above (then on to) Bogle.

I think that's Bogle riding up the back face of the triple, & the 722? Is in flight, and cleared to land on the back of Justin's jersey..

Man, we've seen this too many times. You just can't double the triple on the first lap... Such a bummer. He really should've looked over his shoulder or something. One thing I've always noticed is how aware Roczen is when he messes and has to do something like that. Always checking over his shoulder and behind him when he has to take an obscure line. Just sucks.

That is friggin' gnarly. Hard to fault either guy. Bogle checks up, Lamay is already committed and Bowers is next to him also tripling. Racing incident, really bummed for Justin though. Hope he can heal up and come back strong for MX.

Maybe feld could remove the tuff blocks on the double landing. Looked like Justin hugged it far to the left to avoid any contact. If the blocks were removed they could just swerve off in situations like that.

Good suggestion. He had no other exit strategy. Damnit.

Tedder did well to avoid doing the same.

It's a double edge sword ay... Sometimes you're like "thank piss that tuff block was there" and other times they can really do damage.

EDIT: Not saying the tuff block was a factor.

I feel you. I would only agree that removing tuff blocks between the double and triple seem like a low risk high reward situation. How many dudes wad doubling over the triple?

Further to that, Barcia just missed that tuff block at A2 and it would have been a far worse outcome had he hit it.

That was after the triple correct? That would be a spot where I'd think is a little bit more of a double edge sword since it likely has a higher probability of being a positive experience for some situations. It's still not 50/50 I'd bet.

Exactly what I thought. Hopefully Bogle is somewhat okay.

There is no need for tuff blocks to be on the downside of ANY jump.

All they've ever done is cause crashes. If a rider lands on the downside sans bike he's likely gonna bounce ok anyways, but the amount of crashes those fucking things have caused.... gaps on downsides, gaps on entry and exit to turns.

There is no point in having the "double" jump in the middle of a 100' jump. Tuff blocks sucks all around. Rutted jump faces are bound to cause issues like this. Track design and maintenance share some blame. Come on Trey Canard, make it safer. This could be it for Bogle after his concussion issues?

Bad deal. Bogle knocked the first tough block off trying to get over and make room. Surely feld or whoever owns the TV rights could go back and see how many times tough blocks save a rider on a triple. I can't see any. Didn't Baggett jump clear off the track on the double before? I thought he did it to avoid just such a situation.

Brutal. I felt so bad for Justin when they showed him all wadded up on the broadcast. Dude has had a rough go of it lately.
