My 01 yz250 has a issue i cleaned the carburetor and the jets but it wont idle still and when i get on the bike and take off it dosent fell like that much power but if i full throttle it it picks up but if i half or quarter throttle its slow and boggy and sometime full throttle is boggy to ... i know there is something wrong with the carburetor but what is the actual issue .. do i need to adjust my floats and make it leaner or do i need smaller jets or is it the reeds help me out and REAL ANWSERS ONLY NUN OF THAT BS STUFF

Well since only smartass answers so far... In my opinion I would still be suspicious of jets. There are so many small passages in a carb that I've seen countless times people think they cleaned it well but it still build-up and wouldn't run right. If the jets are the issue, of course changing to new jets would help. If the passages in the carb are an issue changing the jets is just a bandaid.

1) check the obvious - completely fresh good fuel?
2) clean carb well (I've had the best luck with the long soaking cleaners)
3) Floats (possible, but haven't seen it be a problem that often)
4) Reeds (they can do funny things if they aren't sealing well

*If none of that fixes it, go buy a 4stroke

Check your spark plug. If its black or its wet then you are too rich. If its white or looks burned its lean. You want a mocha color. If its a new plug find a used one. The new one wont tell you what you need to know. Go back to what stock jetting specs were and make small adjustments from there. Btw just try to be more clear and calm about what you are trying to ask, these guys will tear you apart around here. Also post in the tech help forum.

It’s his 4th post for the same issue. There was great advice given before but he keeps posting new threads

Check the sprocket bolts. Loose sprocket bolts will prevent the power from reaching the rear wheel!

This is the last time I'm helping you Jabu. If it ran fine at one point and you haven't changed anything within the carburetor then it has something plugged inside. Take the entire thing apart and soak the body in Seafoam for a few days. This is not the shit you'll find at high tide, the shit that comes in a bottle at Walmart in the auto dept. After a few days, remove the carb and blow compressed air through every hole, orifice and passage along with both jets. After reassembly, if it still runs like shit, I'd start looking into other options such as crank seals, worn out top end or gummed up/broken powervalve system, which is not to be confused with "powerbands" that others in this thread will offer up as sound advice.

Fouled plug, wrong jets, damaged jets, old gas, wrong oil mixture, damaged or clogged fuel line. Process of elimination.
