Was the spring internal on these shocks (like on forks now), or was it strictly an air shock (no springs)

Bob was a great open class rider, very fast and just heading into his prime. If you look at who was in the open class in the early 80's, I am pretty comfortable saying Bob would have been a consistent top five at the nats. Very undramatic style on the bike; one of those guys who looked slow while going really fast.

That Donkey Show was supposed to be on the QT, oh well it's out, sorry Bob, lol!! Bob was great fun to race with as you could do just that race him and not have to worry about getting taken out. Quite the competitor and individual!!
