Put them under your gloves and they would work pretty good at keeping blisters from forming. In the summer we cut all the fingertips off. Works great until you build up that layer of thicker skin where you no longer get bad blisters.
edit: they are silk, forgot to mention that
I used to get blisters like that every race...then I took a few riding schools, improved my technique, increased my core strength (which is required to ride a bike with property technique)...and the blisters have completely disappeared.
If you're already a fast B, or A, AA rider...then you likely already have great technique...so you'll need to figure something else out...and those risk racing palm protectors are the ticket. But if you're a slow B, or C rider...work on your technique, and strengthen your core and leg muscles. That's not an easy fix...but is probably your best bet.
My issue was that I'd support my upper body on my hands/arms because my technique was way off and my legs and core weren't strong enough to support my upper body. That extra weight on my hands is what was causing the blisters. Now that my hands for the most part just steer the bike, and I'm holding myself on with my legs, and supporting my upper body with my core muscles...no more blisters.
Then build some calluses up.
Someone else suggested super glue...so I super glued my hands all up...still got blisters.
