Blaming the bike?

Watching hill come right back into suppy and just have flow better than webb in a week over his 2 years and ferris last year getting 2nd in a moto makes me think, when will riders start to work on their own skills instead of just blaming the bike with their ego? Webb has never been the type to out speed you, just out work you, which isn't going to work on a 450, is it that the 450 seperates those with natural talent as the 250 is it a pin and stay fit type class? CC: why forkner is the next big time 450 rider?

happy Friday lol

That’s why I ride 2 strokes. That way I have an excuse when I get beat. Joking.

Hill got 21st in a mud race, and Ferrandis is a great rider who was the only guy pushing Herlings in MX2, and I don't think anyone has blamed a yz250f for bad results in the past 4 years. You need to find better examples.

He’s talking about dean ferris. The australian dude that came over to race one weekend during outdoors last year and got 2nd on a yzf450

Don't blame the tools. It seems I remember a team manager in the 70's getting sick of his guys blaming their bikes. He entered the next race and whipped his whole team. I want to say it was Baker on a 125 Kawi. I've been concussed a few times since then though. Maybe I dreamed it.

so he just out worked herlings? I think speed and talent had something to do with it. I think his main problem is having a thick skull and being naïve in the 450 class.

I feel like fans blame the bikes more than the actual people riding them.

Maybe some bikes just suit some people’s riding styles better. It’s not that the bike’s bad, but maybe it’s just not the bike for him.

Herlings at Ironman.
After that performance just a couple of hours in the totally different bike, all the blames about settings must be ashamed.

When you ride a lot you know a lot about what the bike is or isnt doing well.

when you ride a lot of different bikes you know its strengths and weaknesses

some can ride around issues some cant.

if im riding at 90-95% i can compensate for bike issues.
if i go above that i know the bike might cause a problem.

again, you really need to ride a LOT, then think about what the bike is doing and have an understanding of how a bike works and what you can change..

that excludes the vast majority.
