Black yahamas

so which of the 6+ topics is this thread supposed to be about

I’m pretty sure monster had a lot of input on the black to make their logo pop. I think the Yamahas are pretty hot, 250s more that 450s with the black backgrounds, and I thought the Thor gear popped. Don’t be mad you can’t pull it off.

I dig the 19 team yamaha bikes but they need to ditch the freestyle looking blue rims. The 2008 MXGP Yamaha bikes were pretty mean looking.

Jim Holley gave that question to yamahas team manager on race day live. He stated monster requested it to make their logo pop

Black does not belong on a dirtbike unless it’s the color of the gas cap, handlebars, cables, tire/wheel and airbox.

also a more rad looking bike imo than the last few years. shroud/cockpit area was dialed on these models.

I like the look in the pits and pictures but not on the track. Seeing them on the track reminds me of some villain in a cheesy moto movie

I agree about the black Yamahas they look terrible. They should be blue in front with a black rear fender or something. That Thor gear with the black bike didn’t help lol. I don’t agree with triple crowns though.

One of those factory bikes that looks so much better stock than in factory trim. I understand that money talks but the overall design and color combination looks like shit.

Compare that black/blue mess with this:

Old dude's don't like black on dirtbikes because it reminds them of freestyle bikes. We get it. /thread.

I dig the black. Although DV 12's 2004 YZ250 is awesome.

In not a fan of the all-black look, the shrouds I can deal with being black, but it is hard to get used to the black front fender!

I’ve not been a fan of black plastics since I decided to use them for a season in 97 and had more crashes and bad luck than ever that year. I’ve stuck with oem colours ever since! So yeah I’m not really a fan, the blue/white yamahas always look so clean.
