A guy wants to trade me this rm 500af bike has only break in time on it.

Backstory from what he told me is Suzuki gave them a new 06 rm 250 to start with they sold the motor to put money towards the project , the motor came frame team green was sent to a company in Ohio who did the turbo crank mod, decompression mod etc ,ohlins suspension was given to them was suppose to be better then the standard ttx stuff internally suppose to have a kit internals bike is absolutely mint calico did internal and external coatings to the bike. Fabrication looks excellent seeing what you guys think it is worth to resale wise.

What does he want in trade? Hella' conversation piece. Not sure how great it would handle given the RMZ reputation for cornering. With a 500 stability is a huge factor.

He is wanting to trade for my mod 2020 Tm 144 but I don’t want to be stuck with the bike but figured that bike may be easier to sell then my Tm 144 . Seeing if you guys think that 500 be worth 9-10k or not if not I might as well just keep my 144.

no, and as somebody who has been a part of SAE teams in the past while in school, I would not put much value in a college project. Yes there are some very bright students, who know what they're doing, but there are also equally as many who have their hands on it that are clueless. Hard pass for me. If it was so easy to sell he would of done it already

No way would I trade a 2020 TM for that hack job.

You would be a sucker to take that deal.

Appreciate the opinion , I buy and sell bikes a lot have had over 100 but this one was a little outside of my realm so was looking for some insight .

Thanks for the feedback the bike might be a work of art but with most people wanting aluminum frames on af builds I was having a hard time making sense of it from a resale standpoint.

There's a reason why he is wanting you to trade and you're second guessing yourself if you're on the losing end of the deal.
