Hey guys,

I wanted to get some sort of rubber mat to place under the bike when I park it in the garage.
Mostly for looks I guess, not sure they serve any real purpose.

I'm sure others have done this.
What did you use?

Any suggestions?

I'm just starting to look around.

Thanks all!

Tractor supply company has 4x6’ horse stall mats. I use them for my garage gym floor. Would be perfect for a bike. Only like $35-40

Does Matrix still make those? They were pretty rad.

You can also get garage floor tiles and build them to whatever size you want in whatever colors you want to match your bike.

Where did you get your gym mats? Can you provide a link?

Those mats are really heavy. Not sure how they will do when brake cleaner, gas etc. get spilled on them.

I'm curious to hear if anyone is using them under their bike work area and spilling on them as well...how do they hold up?

Harbour freight has something similar to that really cheap. I bought them for the back of my toy hauler. Piece them together and they work great. Two packs would work nicely.

I just bought a 4x8 multipurpose mat from tractor supply for $50 after reading this. Was going to get one for each bike but they only had one that size in stock. I’ll post up a pic and thoughts on it tomorrow when I do some maintenance. I think it’s going to be great for the price and what it is though. I’m pretty pumped on it
Because I was about to drop $100 x2 on the matrix ones

Oh and my maintenance table I built is 3’x8’ so I’ll be able to cut one perfectly to fit it!

I’ve used a horse stall mat for years. Extremely durable and it holds up great to everything you just mentioned. Easy to clean. The only negative I can really think of is that they are indeed heavy as you mentioned. But, they aren’t too bad. Can still be moved around for sweeping etc... . I’d recommend them in a heartbeat.

Good to now about durability. Thanks.

Mine is pretty dirty right now because I have not taken any cleaner and my pressure washer to it all winter. I’ve had it for 5 years and I think it’s held up good. It’s well worn but still does it’s job as I use it as a work mat not just as a vanity mat to hold my bike stand.
