Bike sitting for years

New fluids (oil, fuel, coolant), new air filter, check fuel injector for dirtiness, check airbox/airboot for any dust or critter nests, check exhaust for anything thats blocking flow, new spark plug, then braaap.

Starting an engine every now and then (unless you ride it enough to get the oil hot) is actually worse for the engine. All it does is add moisture to the crankcase without getting hot enough to burn it off.
