Which one gives us more Drama and something to talk about for the next week, Herlings, and what goes down today at Ironman or, McGregor vs Mayweather?

Herlings winning isn't anywhere near as shocking as if McGregor wins. Better analogy is Herlings going 1-1 in dominating fashion = Mayweather KO'ing McGregor. Both of these guys winning shouldn't be a total shocker to anyone; doing it in dominating fashion is what stirs the chatter

Something special about those guys is there self believe and both have been doubted alot, they where/are both highly underestimated in my opinion. I would love to see both win but it can be over in a blink of an eye in boxing aswell as Motocross.

I'll start drinking when the motos start, so may never make it to when the fight does Silly #hurricaneprobs

Hope mcgregor knocks his block off. He better do it in the first few rounds tho. If mayweather takes him into deep water he's gonna work him over.

If Herlings entered the B Class at Loretta's and LOST, it still wouldn't be as big an upset than if that Irish twit wins... Which he won't.

I've got money on a McGregor ko.

It's his first boxing match ever and it's against somebody who's 49-0. Seemed like a no brainer to me.

Everyone calling the Mayweather fight a no-brainer... "Pff, Mayweather has it in the bag, Mcgregor has no chance"

Remeber something that happened around November 2016? Some voting type deal? "Shes got it in the bag, he has no chance of winning"

Eerily similar.....

Yeah, and the douchebag won. I would not mind Herlings winning - seems like a decent guy.

As it stands, Mcgregor could be the bigger upset; Herlings is a motocross racer, Connor is an MMA fighter stepping into a Boxing ring. Herlings stepping up and racing Anaheim would be a better comparison!

As crazy it is to think that a person can make $10,000,000 in one sporting event, it's really crazy when you add another zero - rumor has it that he'll make somewhere close to or over $100,000,000.

If Mayweather's boastful prediction is accurate, he'll make $350,000,000. Jaw dropping numbers.

McGregor winning would probably be the equivalent of Jill Stein taking the election. The whole thing reminds me of the movie The Great White Hype.

1st round will be a dandy. Conner will be throwing the wood trying to end it early. Tyson predicts a Mayweather win.

Not similar at all. On the eve of the election, Trump, though trailing, was within the polling margin of error in all the critical states, and (significantly) Hillary was polling below 50% in those same states. Nate Silver was adamant that Hillary's position was nowhere near as secure as Obama's had been in 2012 and that Trump had a real electoral path.

Meanwhile, I don't know much about boxing, really, but this bout looks like more of a publicity stunt than anything else.

Not a bad pay day from being a Plumber not long ago. Mcgregor is a showman with the ability to knock folks out, Mayweather is all business with the ability to Knock Folks out. Grger is entering Mayweathers world. don't see it going well for McGee

What class does McGregor race?
8/26/2017 9:46am
Herlings competes in the same sport as his competitors this weekend. If Herlings lined up at Silverstone this weekend and won, that would be comparable to the McGregor winning tonight.

Who was the dude who knocked Tyson out, when everyone said he couldn't be knocked out? McGregor winning might be similar. Herlings winning wouldn't be nearly as shocking, IMO. Herlings may come off as an ass at times, making people cheer for him losing, but the kid can ride. No questioning that.

Mike Tyson: "Conor's not skilled enough to box with Floyd. If he fought UFC and then Floyd boxed, then that would be more exciting. Then we'd see how Floyd deals with kicks to the leg. But Conor's not a boxer."
