Im in the market for a new pair of boots soon, my current sidi crossfire 2s have been great but im open to suggestions from others as to what to try next.
The problem is im a size eu49/uk13/us14 in crossfire 2s and the next size up in tech 10s
I dont fancy tech 10s again as i found the shell to be even more massive in my size due to the inner boot
Been looking at sg12s and tech 7s but nobody really lists outer shell sizes for reference to my sidis
Or should i consider cf3? Or atojo?
Any recommendations?

I’m a US 13 and I love my tech-7’s. Have had several pairs and they are great. I don’t have personal experience with SG12’s but several guys I ride with have them and swear by those as well.

I’d go crossfire 3’s. And if you’re concerned with overall boot size, I’d think that’d be another vote for the crossfire 3’s.

Have you had the current generation Tech 10's? They are much smaller externally than the older ones.

I have a pair of atojos size 46 after years with the tech 10 in size 12. The atojo fit the same inside but is a full inch shorter in length. I like em.

I wear a size 15 shoe but fit comfortably in a size 14 Tech 10. After seeing the reviews on the lack of durability on the new Tech 10s, I’m thinking of trying SG-12s next time around. I hope the fit is similar.

I just went from Tech 7 to SG12. They are really nice boots. I was a size 12 in Tech 7 and an 11 in the SG12. So I’m sure Gaerne has you covered in sizing.

I bought my current Tech 10s on eBay brand new for about half price from a dealer in Italy. Apparently there isn’t much call for size 14 boots in Italy.

Ryno says WalMart one size fit all grippy house socks give more feel and less restriction.

Nice choice. I'm happy with my sg12. A little stiff but that went away after 4-5 rides.

I own Crossfires and SG12, i have had Astars before (Tech8 and 10), also had a pair of SG10 before.
I m very happy with the durability of sidi and gearne boots- if i get a good deal i would take any of these (crossfire2/3 oder Gearne SG10/12)
The last Astars boots i had where falling apart and the Fox boots of my riding buddys do also not the great quality u suspect when paying big money.
the Gearne and Sidis i bought in 2014 still looking good- the sole is getting replaced now, though

Good call Cammy. I’ve been a long time Fox Instinct guy, but after wearing out my last pair, I bought a pair of SG 12’s because I couldn’t find Instincts in the size and color I wanted. Love the SG 12’s so far. Definitely much better quality and seem to offer better protection. Foot peg, shifter, rear brake feel isn’t as good as the Instinct, but I suspect this will change as the boots break in.
