Has anyone ridden a 390 race edition? My dad put a deposit on supposedly the last 19 in the states. Talking to the guys that race Betas they seem to like the Sachs forks on the 19 race editions better than the kybs that come on the 20s.

I only have one question, what’s that monstrosity on the blue bike in the left hand corner?

Your answer lies somewhere in here: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/forum/353-beta-motorcycles

Google works better than search in the site.

KYB is a far preferred platform, Beta seems to have set up the '20's race speed firm, most going for a softer setup.

The RE CC Sachs are firmer than the RR OC which are a good fork for non Pro levels. The Sachs are frequently hard coated to prevent wear issues that have been seen.

Ultimately, the 390 is a bike without peers. Either fork can be made to work however you want. The '19's are a steal, grab it!

I haven't got a chance to ride a 390 but my friend is a dealer and let me ride the 350 and the motor was amazing. It was fast and powerful but very deceiving. it wasn't like a 450 fast but like a mix of 250F and 450. Very smooth. I loved the suspension and it was very plush but probably to plush for a faster younger rider. My son had a 19 250RR and the forks were a problem. Beta actually gave us a brand new pair.
