Best way to size a small kids helmet?

Ordered a new stacyc for the grandson who's on the other side of the country but i need to get him a helmet that I don't want to leave up to someone else???

Best thing i can think of is having someone get a measurement of his head and going that route.

He really needs to try it on with someone that knows how to fit the right size to him. Is there a good shop near him?

This measurement method off a Chinese website should make it perfectly clear.
