All this talk of most skilled, most hardcore etc etc got me thinking...
Who was the best rider that did the least amount of work, obviously people like JLaw come to mind (however I don’t know how hard he actually trained) but then I heard Chicken say on a podcast he used to ride out of sight and dump 90% of his gas and sit under a tree and chill out for a couple hours haha

I don't want to downplay or insult Stewart but I thought he used to talk about how he didn't train. He even said in that interview not long ago that he would chill and eat junk food and then beat RC. But then RC of course fired back in hilarious fashion, on Instagram. I dunno, probably the guys from the 90s partied more and didn't train, but James did seem to rely on his talent more than anything (which was obviously an insane amount of it.)
Compare him to a jlaw or something.
The Shop
Hands down.
Competed and won at the highest levels while training at the lowest levels.
No one else comes close.
JMB also reportedly did not do a ton of traditional training but he DID spend a TON of time on the bike.
Dude had more talent than RV.
I wouldn't be surprised if JLaw never trained off the bike. He seemed like the kind of guy that just rode all the time.
Lil Hanny.
Jlaw.
Pit Row
Robert is definitely a good choice, but to the best of my knowledge, he was just a drinker & cig smoker. The Dogger would literally stay out all night doing hardcore drugs, then show up at the track with no sleep (and probably still high/drunk) and smoke the fastest guys on the planet.
I gotta go with Tripes. Guy was absolutely gifted. Funny story
Won supercross and national events without riding or training during the week.
He used one set of tires on his practice bike during the 86 supercross season.
His mechanic dropped off the bike and came back a few weeks later to maintenance it and it hadn’t been ridden.
