I have wide feet and use Gaerne. I tried a pair of Sidis that a friend had that was the same size as the Gaerne and they were very tight (narrow).

SG12 for sure. It seems that most stitched sole style boots retain a wider fit than molded sole boots.

I don't need flipper's when I swim , super wide feet. SG10's are what I use.

I had several pair of sg10’s before I decided to try sg12’s. Unfortunately, the 12’s were too narrow, so they ended up on eBay. Not a problem, the 10’s have always been really good boots. FWIW, this was probably 4-5yrs ago when I tried the 12’s.

Another vote for the Gaerne. I have a EEE foot, and the SG-12's fit great

I never had trouble with Alpinestars back in the day (1990's Tech 7's) and when I got back on a bike in 2007 I bought some Tech 8s with the molded soles. The quality of their boots went to hell, but they still fit very nice on my wider feet.

These days I have a couple pair of SG-12 and love them.

The thing to do with the SG-12 is to use a little dab of blue lock-tight on the screws that hold the little (thumb sized) chrome ankle-pivot plate on the side. Those little phillips screws backed out and I lost the plate on my first set. My buddy had the same trouble on his SG-12. Gaerne sells the plate and screws as a kit, I think I paid $10 for the replacement. Do the lock-tight and you'll never have to deal with it.

SG12's are certainly a great boot, but if cost is a concern I know my brother (wide feet) loves his Astar Tech 7's.

Solid boot and a little easier on the wallet than the Gaerne's

I have a wide foot and tech 7’s as mentioned are great and the latest tech 10’s are no problem for me either.

Gaerne for sure.....The 10"s are wider, I have the 12"s & I have hot spots on the widest part of my feet....I have to take them off between motos..I have wide feet & need bunion surgery....been putting that off for about 20 years...Never a good time to wear a medical boot for 2 months....I used to use alpinstars boots, but my last few pair the soles wore out in 3 months of riding....

Thanks all you fellow vitards, i owned alpinestars tech 5's but had to go up a size to find the right width. I will definitely be looking into the gaerne's. Thanks for the input.

Gaerne SG12's. I have a wide foot and they are GREAT boots.

I have some older Tech 7's that work good. The new Tech 7's are like a tennis show... very, very little support. I would not ride with them.

IF SG12 is too narrow, take them to a ski bot shop and have them widen.

Ski shops do that all day, should cost $60, maybe less off season..
