I don't mean a rebuild bike either. I'm talking, bought the bike, rode it, sold it.

Here's mine. Bought a 2017 Husky TX300 with 125 hours (new top end at 120) in Nov 2018 for $6700.
Rode it for 2 years. Never did a rebuild. Sold for $7200 in Dec 2020

I bought a CRF100 last fall of '19 for $800 and sold it for $1500 during COVID spring of 2020. Wasn't really using it (have another pit bike), but probably should've held onto it for a couple more months, probably could've got close to $2k for it seeing some bikes on marketplace lately

I don't have any such story, but I did buy a 1999 YZ125 from the shop I worked at. I kept it there overnight every now and then, and one day the store got robbed. Thieves took new units and several bikes that were in service. A day or two later, I realized mine was one of the bikes missing. angry
The insurance company replaced everything, though, so I got a new 125 out of it. A freshie for no more money out of pocket! Not too bad.

08 YZ250F. Got it as a left over in 09 and put countless hours on it over the years until we sold it in 2012. Never spent a dime on that bike. My friend rode it for a few years and than re-sold it. Saw it a few years ago at a race and it was best to hell and still sounded strong.

Just a young’in at the time! The white 09 was also a beast, but only had it for that year.

Every 4-stroke I’ve sold that still started before the valves needed adjustment was a success.

Just sold my daughters like new 05' crf70 for $1900. I originally paid $1670 OTD new in 2005. I didn't put a dime in it other than gas and oil.

Couple of years ago I purchased a 16' yz250f that didn't start for $2200. I adjusted a valve and then sold it for $4200. I still see it at the track occasionally and it is running and starting great.

Also, back in 86 when I was in HS, I purchased an 83' rm250 for $650. I rode the snot out of it for 2 years. Sold it for $800. I never put any money into it other than maybe some levers and fork seals. That was big buck to me.

Dad got a running PW50 in trade for equipment that came with a shop he bought for his company that he didn’t need. Taught my two older brothers and me on it, never put a dime in it other than oil and gas. Sold it after I grew out of it for $600 or so.

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.
