I mean, it's pretty good, but best ever is tough sledding. LaRocco winning Indy on the back end of his career. Reed getting Bubbs on the last lap at Indy. MC getting past Stanton. Ricky getting MC at Daytona.

Definitely one of my favourite races, it would have been amazing to be there in the stands.

to not see that 2001 san diego is the greatest ever, is quite puzzling.

Maybe not best ever but pretty awesome alright. Considering Reed finished the season only 4pts behind Villopoto, he might have cost himself the title that race.

Anaheim 2 and Vegas were awesome in 2001 as well. San Diego stands out though.

There’s so many sick races it’s hard to remember them all, just the ending of that one when reed and Stewart fell, had my casual mx fan of a spouse at the time, yell “whaaaat!!!” Ha

It’s definitely up there no doubt. Amazing race. I remember yelling at the tv because they were showing two lappers at the end when Dungey, Stewart, and Reed were battling.

2011 was great. This was the best race of the season imo.

The pace theyre having in the first vid, it really looks like they are going faster than the riders today. Thats probably not the case but, damn! So aggressive and fast!

Ya, I mean to be fair, this was the year RV missed the main in Florida right? But it was still not a bad effort to be 4 points down, first year team when everyone was telling him he was fat and old and should retire.

A fun one...A few years ago we produced a show for Feld on "The Greatest Supercross Races" and this one was one of the 10 nominated by Vital folks...Feld cut it from final show because it was "too old". A few years later Yamaha helped pay to finish this short video for their 60th Anniversary.

Enjoy, Bob Hannah, Mike Bell, Gary Semics and others talk about...the 1978 Los Angeles Supercross.

(Just noticed over 157K watched it too! Wow! Thanks all!)

Six different race leaders, 8 lead changes. Not counting all of the battling that was going on inside the top-5. I was at both races (1990 & 2011), and while 2011 was a good battle between two riders, it doesn't rank up there with an all-out battle between six and seven riders.
