This sort of lunacy of Superbikes being done up for the sand has been going on there for decades - blokes wanting to 'win' the first straight down the foreshore. I think they still get shat on by the Beach Race specialists, on real dirt bikes, but the efforts of the 'lunatic fringe' are wild to see.

we have the MD dirt drags here, either a top rider on a 450 . (Bt or Cody Cooper usually) or a big road bike engined special wins the overall,
