1997 Yz125, I never sold mine and have just dug it out from a long sleep, I plan to just take it out a little this year and play on it some. Maybe it will help me carry some corner speed riding a 125 again. I do know it will put a big smile on my face when ridden correctly. It made great power, even had some bottom compared to my 1994 Honda.

Woke from its long nap, still need to change oil in forks and shock.

Not many saying anything about the kx 125's?
Generally, these bikes were not as bad as the magazines made them out to be. They got a bad rap because the engines were all midrange and not as easy to ride compared to the YZ and RM. The 1993 was fast but had some reliability issues. The 1994-1998 were the same design, as were the 1999-2002. Power looked good on a dyno, but was pipey and hard to ride for beginners/novices. Once set up correctly, they handled fine and the suspension was good. A lot of fast guys in my area were on them in the mid-late '90s. I always pulled good starts on my '97 even though it was supposed to be by far the worst and most underpowered bike at the time.
