Just read on motoverte.com that he will race the Paris SX on a Bud Racing 250 Kawi.

If I'm understanding correctly with my school-french, he's trying to have American teams pay attention to possibly race the AMA circuit next year if he can't get a good MXGP ride (he has to move up and still doesn't have a ride).
He practiced with Musquin before Monster Cup and also on the Yamaha SX Test track.

Does anybody have more info on that?
Not sure if he's really looking for a ride in the US or if that's just the second option if no MXGP deal shows up.

He's one guy that has business to prove in MX2 but has to move up. IMO one more year in MX2 would be perfect for him. He also turned pro pretty late

Also the article says that Ferrandis is out for the Paris Supercross because he's still not recovered from his injury from Budds Creek

IG video of his 1st training on bud kawi. I agree that the age rule of mx 2 is kinda screwing him over.

First day of training was pretty cool ??? @bud_racing

Looks smooth....

I wonder if Paturel and Hsu will do some west coast SX races with Bud?

Damn looks good

Weather it is pointing out or aging out it is bound to cause good riders to be unemployed. Cause and effect on display.

He would be great for JGR! But the rather sign guys like Decotis and Peters blush

I’m surprised he hasn’t been offered a ride at Wilvo Yamaha due to the Yamaha connection but it’s looks like Seewer could possibly take that spot..

|

11/1/2017 3:17 PM

Seewer already signed with Wilvo.
Paturel has no deal for '18, so he needs to showcase himself in Paris and hopefully raise some interest either side of the ocean.

Was he the fellow that behaved very poorly towards a female security guard at the GH USGP the other year? GuyB mentioned it in a post back then.

If he isn't that fellow, sure, send him over. If he is, y'all can keep him.

Does that track have whoops? Couldn't tell as vid was short. Or maybe there were whoops and he struggled. We'll never know...

The tracks that Bud Racing riders ride have usually whoops.

The fact is that Paturel got a offer to race for Rinaldi back in March, but because he was really confident about himself and the season he was riding he wanted to wait a bit longer and be free for other offers so he said no to Yamaha, and they signed Jeremey Van Horebeek again.

But his confidants to become world champion and to win a few GP's didn't worked out. He won one GP and finished a few times on the podium and didn't fought for the Championship if we're honest. So the big offer he hoped for and expected to come didn't came. Also the lack of big private sponsors to help him onboard of a team is a shitty situation for him.

Sure was. I was one of the few people that saw it close up (GuyB, me, a couple of others, and Cole Seely might have caught the tail end). I will never respect that guy, regardless of anything he does in the future.

Hmm are you sure ? I tried to look around a bit and could nowhere find any info about this. There was an security guard incident at Glen Helen though but it was during an AMA race

Neither is Cole Seely showing up in either 2015 or 2016 results for the GP at Glen Helen, but he might have been spectating i guess.

Not trying to defend Paturel his actions if what you guys say is true though, just wondering!

No memory of this. Paturel is generally considered quite easy going.

Paturel has nothing to do with this incident.

Not sure I remember the correct incident nor if I remember the incident correctly.

But if I do, then he went out of the pits with shorts and sandals and was stopped by a (female) security guard trying to get back into the pits.
He also wasn't let in when he told her he's a rider. So he just pushed her aside and walked in.

Can't have been it, then he would have been made president.

Replace “shorts” with a tiny speedo and that’s basically what happened. Security was told not to let anyone in through this specific part of the gate, he picked up her arm, turned her, and shoved her out of the way then walked through.

If that's all..... You make it sound like he raped someone.

Yeah man, you’re right... shoving an older lady that was following instructions is no big deal. My apologies for thinking he was wrong for it.

Not sure if the main problem was the fact he was wearing swimwear or not wearing his pitpass, but I guess if nothing more happened, as far as security goes, it probably wasn't such a big deal...
Dunno, wasn't there and we're not even sure who we're talking about...

Wouldn't he and couldn't he be a good fit to replace Millsaps? Ok he's a long shot but he can work with someone like Yannig Kervela or a other coach to become a bit better at supercross and do OK!
