Wow, kid had an extremely great day considering his bike was built from scratch the night before. 4th O/A and ran in 2nd for good portion of moto 2 while placing in front of some seasoned veterans out there. He has shown steady improvement from race to race and has me scratching my head why the kid has no ride for 2017 yet. Hope he comes out swinging the last 2 rounds and opens some team owners eyes.

There are still a few factory guys in limbo, who would probably deliver better results in SX than Benny. There just aren't enough rides to go around, until guys start getting hurt.

What i like , is that he doesnt look phased, he rides well , like Ken De Dyker, but without the fitness issues, and has potential to get better. Give him a shot, he will be cheap (like Weston was ) and great value for money.

The factory guys that are in limbo, are in limbo for a reason,

I think given his age, experience level, and continually climbing impressive results, a team has to give him a look.

True and so far injury free, that's a huge variable these days.

What I like about him is that he does not ride over his head, and doesn't crash. That is hard to teach.

Hope he does well.

If i was yamaha i would try to sign him for rock river 250 (east or west) sx/fill-in for T Hahn and Webbs teammate outdoors on the factory squad.

Exceptional ride today, liked his confidence on the start gate talk. To to ride as a rookie on a track that brutal and look like a seasoned veteran was a joy to watch wtg.

If BTO doesn't resign him, they're on drugs.

Young, eager, training with Reynard, making Shorty and Brayton look positively average, probably less than half the price to resign and I bet he's got more under the hood indoors and out.

His SX results, on both the 250 and 450, were less than stellar in 2016. In nine races he scored one top ten, but finished 19th, four times, including two of his three attempts in the 450 class, against a depleted field. He failed to qualify all together on the 450, in Foxboro.

Really? A fill in ride? Think he deserves a ride a lot more than some others

Not a fill in ride. Hes pretty green in supercross so maybe start him on the west coast in 250s. If he isnt close to the championship going into the break let him fill in the 450s if T Hahn isnt able to race. I think a low pressure sx gig would be good for him since last season he was bouncing around teams and bikes so much. Then he rides factory Yamaha outdoors.

But sounds like he has a deal locked up for 250sx and 450 outdoors so good for him hope its a good team.

I was at Pala the week before Hangtown and Benny, Tommy Hahn and Colt Nichols were putting in laps. To be honest at that time Benny looked very average. Colt Nichols looked the fastest. I think Benny has done an amazing job getting better each race through the series. Like someone else said, he doesn't seem to ride over his head. I think he has a bright future.

His style doesn't look fast but the dude is riding on rails. Can't imagine him not getting picked up. Or offers blowing up his phone.

Matthes is normally pretty good about saying where people are going. If he didn't reveal, it's probably because he was asked not to.

While I like your Full-Crush support, let's take a moment to recognize what Andrew's been thru this year...including, at one point -being told that he had serious head injury concerns- ...then the other injuries and rehab from his insane SX crash...all the while: he AND Justin AND Davi have been VERY supportive of Benny. Also, there's the Entire Butler Team making sure Benny has Top Level Factory hardware.

Forrest Butler has gone above and beyond in his pursuit of "Giving Benny A Shot".
Period.
In-fact, he dove into it a bit deeper than I originally remember him committing to.

Now, if someone's gone and made a spot for him on their '17 Team? Well, it's because of his results while at BTO (and an extremely deep 'fan-base' among A LOT of Industry OGs...including a Butler Team Sponsor or 2...)

No matter where he goes or what team he lands on...
It was his Mom & Dad...
It was his inability to give up.
It was that "fan base" I spoke of...

And then, it's this season on BTO that got him the Exposure (where he did have some HEROIC SX moments).

So, I'm extremely proud of EVERYONE at "BTO-KTM" & all I got to say to them is...

Thank You

For me he is the rookie of the year, even slightly better than Forkner or Musquin in 450. We cant know the future, but giving him a couple years, he could very well all continue to surprise us. Josh Hill was also a profile that went straight to the 450, and without the back flip thing that derailed his career, he could have well continued to take some wins and score lots of podiums. Give him a winter to train with solid team mates like with his current team, and something will really click ; at his age and with his limited experience, we can be 100% sure, as all the rookies mature, that he will find the 1 second a lap he needs to land on podiums. Like Forkner, he is the real deal and he has 10 good years ahead in 450 to prove that !

PS. Even if he doesnt land a factory ride straigh away, any team should sign him at least as a fill in rider. No way he goes back to privateer after this season !!!

How could a kid who is over 6 ft tall compete on a 250?

I think he needs to stay on the 450.

6' should be no problem....but Benny is freakin' 6-7" . i too...don't see that guy moving a 250 around at a competitive pace. I would think it's almost impossible and kinda sketchy to be honest.

I couldn't believe he was running second in that second moto. It truly was an amazing ride. If Roczen had bike trouble or a big crash then Bloss would have been the leader. Wow! Great ride!

He has done very well with his opportunity at BTO, and it will undoubtedly lead to bigger and better things in Benny's future, but when guys like Tickle, Peick, Bogle, and Wilson, are all still available, and are potential podium contenders, indoors and out, it's not that hard to believe that Benny hasn't gotten a full time, factory 450 ride.
