he needs to thank the tuff block makers, and isn't it ironic that it was a San Manuel tuff block that saved his night? How that guy continues to race after these big crashes is nothing short of amazing.

Was it A1 when he crashed it was also San Man tuff blocks? Gotta give it to him, still the most watched rider when he is on the track. If he runs outdoor like they are saying I think it will help him. When MC went SX only he started having problems after the first 2 years. I think james is going through the same thing. Running an outdoor season regardless of his results should help him for 2013 SX. JMO

I also think the tuff block saved him from flying another good 15ft or so! Still a very hard hit.

He would have gotten up if it were the main event (duh) just like he did in Daytona. As far as points go, it was probably better for him to crash in the heat race. If he doesn't do that in the heat, I'll bet he does that in the main and loses major points.

Supercross isn't a sport with unlimited real estate. Say for example the Tuff Blox hadn't been there, and his bike had landed on its wheels, and done a slow carve into the oncoming lane, which happened to be the start straight. Say it took out another rider in a head-on collision.
