Of a new rm125 in the works, one spotted at GH Thursday, Japanese guys testing a rm with oem graphics, hidden between two vans when not being ridden, any pics? Doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with the Poli sport kit coming out, because why would Suzuki guys be testing it? Honda guys weren’t testing the Poli sport Honda kit pre release...

If true I’ll be buying a new rm125

It’s not a production bike, it’s a kit for the Suzuki amateur kids.

Dude, if Suzuki were bringing out a new two stroke (which they aren’t) why would they travel thousands of miles to test it?

They aren’t even developing their 4 stroke range so why would they be investing in 20 year old technology?

The 3 of the big 4 (6) that aren't producing 125s probably won't start. But just for the sake of argument they all could restart production of their most recent model with bng and be perfect for the aftermarket to refine. Besides, many models of 85s are older design.

What pulp mx was this discussed.

And the fact that polo sport just put out a plastic kit for their older bikes and then some one starts a rumour there bringing out a new 2 stroke is the biggest joke.
I’d love them to, but it won’t happen.

If Suzuki wants to save there ass in the motocross industry. They need to target there junior programs and make it a big deal to be on an RM85 again and re develop that RM85!!! It’s the same bike since 2002!! Through another radiator on it and another shroud! Put a newer plastic kit on it and it will sell!!
And make it so they support a 125 class to race! It’s needes! Juniors are our future! The more kids riding yellow at the gate in the juniors. The more yellow on the gate on the seniors!

Look at Yamaha!

If that's the case, then why not just make the whole bike and not a kit? You would have to buy a new RMZ250 and then buy a RM125 engine kit. You would have 12-14K in a 125. I guess you could sell the engine or find a blown up 250, but why not just make the damn thing.

My wife and I saw it too. The RM125 has the new generation frame. She snuck a picture as we drove past.

For those saying it would be an amateur kit I would recommend you go read the AMA rules. First I bet the AMA would have a problem with a non production motorcycle. If they did allow it then it wouldn't meet the requirements for a limited class motorcycle which would limit what classes it could be run in.

Like was said before, they haven't updated the RM85 for ever, if they are that concerned with amateur racing then spend the R&D money updating that bike.

Used to be the norm back in the day. I remember the Honda video "documentung" testing with RJ... it was part real documentary, part comedy.

Dustin, one of our local kids that tests for Suzuki had a short clip of it on his SC Thursday. His brother was getting ready to ride it. I mentioned it in the Glen Helen thread from Thursday but my comment got overlooked haha

Are you sure that they were real Japanese Suzuki guys? Maybe they were Chinamen in disguise?
