How many people thought reed would be on the box 2 out of 3 races into this and sitting 2 in the championship? I knew he had it in him. go22 Woohoo

Reedy has a very smooth SX style and years of experience, a Windham 2.0 with championships under his belt. Deadly combo. All those Johnny Come Lately's could learn a thing or two if they would just pay attention.

I don't think they are similar at all. I got to catch Kevin ride in Washington MO when his buddy Chris Blankenship passed away. Kevin has such a unique setup for his bike, very front end biased. Also, it was interesting to physically hear the difference between his Honda and some of the local pros Hondas. That was the first time I got to listen to a factory bike (he still had one) versus a normal mod bike without 20 others going at the same time. His was louder, raspier, and revved much further. Makes me want to do a Tim Allen grunt.

Honestly, he keeps surprising me. I'm guilty of writing him off a number of times.

He's doing great... I would like to see him get a 12th place start and end up on the podium...

I don't think any night's fastest qualifier could do it... If you can jump all the jumps in the fishbowl you'll get a good

finish... Like I said he's doing great and nothing against him... I'm 55 years old and it's nice to see older guys do well...

When Dungey wins the title this year they should give him a fishbowl for a trophy...

edit... I'm sitting in the semi waiting for the load.... I was thinking... My truck plus the trailer is about 72 foot long...

not much shorter then a supercross straight...

I did, called him to win A1 which had the restart not happened was a possibility. If you throw something out enough eventually you're right.

You just cant ever count him out, did I expect it? No, does it surprise me, absolutely not.

I was honestly not expecting the type of results he has shown so far. I thought top 10s would be hard for him to get every weekend, boy has he proved me wrong so far.

I'm really enjoying the Chad Reed we see this season, Hope he gets some main event wins!

I would describe my reaction to his results as 'pleasantly surprised'.

Not that I didn't believe that he could win, but I wondered if he could actually finish the series without crashing and getting hurt.

I wasn't sure how he would gel with the YZ and how good they good they could get it. After seeing Sydney SX, I knew that bike was good and he was a Reedeemer

I thought he'd be somewhere around 6th-10th early while everyone was relatively healthy and would eventually compete regularly for top 5s and a podium or three if he stayed healthy himself.

His performances so far have definitely surprised me. He's obviously put in a lot of work to earn them.

Bro, this is The Chad we are talking about. He has been VERY consistent on finishing seasons in his career.

I had called Chad for a podium or two, but certainly not sitting second on points (or two seconds in a row!)

And since we are being honest here..I had McDonalds for lunch today (Big Mac combo) and I feel dirty because of it. Haven't touched that crap in ages and for some reason I was sucked into the vortex.

Reed has been impressive. But Tomac and Roczen were catching him last weekend, and if it weren't for stupid mistakes, they may have overtaken him. It will be interesting to see if he can keep those guys at bay or not.

Exactly what I was thinking!

And I didn't think Dungey would be as good as he is, I know why I never gamble!

Happy new year Kemosabe. What about A1? 21st all the way to fifth before being dropped one spot on the last lap I think. I know it isn't a podium but with his Herculean performance at the opener Reed impressed me right off the bat this year.

I only counted Reed out once and learned from that so stopped. That having been said I wasn't expecting two podiums in a row either. He looks good and the bike obviously works really well for him.

I couldn't be happier for him, his family and Yamaha. Reed is a lot like Rocky Balbao when I think about it.

Dungey is right where I expected him to be. Stewart's misfortune is my biggest surprise and disappointment of the year....well that and Peick's missing two races.

i've believed that old bastard could win titles ever since i saw him spank RC on a 250 for the first time. always been a huge fan of the guy and after watching the battles with Webb overseas I knew he was going to be the real deal YET AGAIN this season.

what a badass
1/29/2016 2:12pm
Very impressive and solid start so far. Hopefully he can keep it up when the others that are capable find their way to the front and get in the mix and add a little more pressure.

The biggest thing for him so far is he seems happy with himself and the bike setup, if that goes away then it is my opinion that his results will follow suit.

I still don't think his farts smell like roses as some people on here do though.

If Dungey get hurts this is Reeds title. Never thought that would be the case before A1. He looks fantastic this year.
