Maybe the GG will have Brake-tec hydraulics like the trials bikes. GG trials bikes have had hydraulic actuated clutches since 1992. Only took some brands 30 years to catch up.

I hope they don't sign Barcia. He can be fast, but is not very consistent in his finishing positions. He may be the best available option to get some results right now, I just would rather see Savagty in that spot, he isn't any more consistent but a healthy Savagty is faster than Barcia most days.
Maybe they sign them both, who knows.

So what happens to Forrest Butlers team? Are they staying a KTM satellite team? I thought they would be a shoe in for the Gas Gas deal.

I hope we can get a healthy Bam Bam on a red KTM for 2 seasons. Then we'll see if the "blue pig" has been the problem. I'm not sure it's the bike with Barcia, because he was complaining a lot about his factory Honda in 2014 too. But the KTM package seems to be universally liked at the top level when riders make the move onto it, so we shall see if Barcia can step up on one.
The reason Barcia doesn't get much respect is because he has brought it upon himself with his cheap shots. It's been going on for years....the french spectators almost lynched him once for pulling a dirty.

He cost us money, injury and a dnf at Handtown last year.

Everyone assumes it'll be a current team that switches brand to Gas Gas. The only team I see switching is JGR or RMATV (similar satellite team to Standing Construction)

Maybe it'll be a new set up managed by Bobby Hewitt?
JGR is Suzuki for ‘21
RMATV will be KTM
TLD will be GasGad

With TLD moving to GasGas, who will run KTM's 250 program?

So we won't see Barcia on astars given the situation TLD is taking over gasgas?

When do new contract announcements happen this year? Normally its Oct 1, but we'll still be racing until Oct 10 and no one is going to announce a deal before the season is over

This is accurate. Team will have Barcia and two 250 riders.
So does that mean some of TLD contracted riders will switch over to the Factory RB KTM? TLD has 3 guys under contract and only two 250 spots on GasGas.

This may have been coming even without GasGas entering the fray. DeCoster has made inference that the TLD/KTM 250 team has been underperforming in the past (DMXS podcast circa 2019) so I'm not surprised if he takes the best riders in-house. And that could be some combo of Hampshire, Mosiman, Hartranft, Brown since all are in the same parent organization. Or maybe Marchbanks. Just speculating....

Barcia on a GasGas fc350 would be awesome !
B-b-b-b-b-b-bbbbuuut the 350 just cant make enough hp to hang with the 450's .....that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Especially now, a factory built and I mean BUILT 350 can be every bit as fast as a 450. Weve seen 250f's get top 10's in sx against 450's how in the hell riders on the 350 ever complained a 350 isnt enough is beyond me. With riders barely having nodded 450 engines a nicely built 350 is plenty enough bike

Nobody will race a 350 against a 450 in the pro ranks anymore. It's just not going to happen.

Especially after KTM came with a really light weight 450 a few years ago. The weight difference is allot less compare the Cairoli/Alessi 350 days.

Still i wonder if this 350 thing running true his head or team just to give it a test ride in the off season.

Good sign, realistically outside of the main title contenders Barcia is probably the only guy that can win straight up indoors or out.

No, AC was the last holdover and that’s just cause the 450 wasn’t ready yet. At least in his words. You think someone wants to line up next to Tomac, Roczen, etc down 100cc? Torque torque and torque.

This statement is coming from a Yamaha fan so don't take it the wrong way but....

If Barcia goes to gas gas(essentially a KTM) and does better, its going to compound peoples opinions on Yamaha not being good enough on the factory level. Similar to what people were saying when CW made the swtich.

Which is mostly because of the shitty US Factory team. Look at the GPs where the Yamaha riders are performing up to par.

And Ferrandis will probably be very good in 2021 on a Star Racing 450.

Both CW and AP were dominant on the 250s...and that changed when they stepped up to the 450s. I know there is more to it then just the bikes but I hope the same doesn't happen to DF.

GP bikes are also allowed to make many more modifications I believe.

Hopefully Star is gonna get that 450 right for Ferrandis. Would be a big bummer for him and the series if his 450 career starts the same as Webb.

We will see. Listening to Reed on the Whiskey Throttle Show (and on various Matthes pods), he definitely paints a picture that problems at Yamaha are more personnel-related than anything else. Maybe getting a fresh rider in DF and some different staff working on the 450 at Star will be the right step.

The comp is a little stiffer in the 450 class my friend. Both also got injured early on.

While true, Dylan has ridden the 450 with success already. He will do very well. As a guy who bleeds blue I am really hoping Yamaha comes back as a powerhouse.

Wouldn't this also put Barcia in the Aldon Baker camp?
The option for Barcia may be there but I doubt he will go with Aldon
