Just watched the motos that was insane..
Given he stays comfy on the Yamy for 19 is he a real threat for a title MX or SX, the next few years if some cards fall his way ?
He looked great in SX pre injury, lookin awesome now.

Only to have musquin do it to him the very next moto in the very same turn. both impressive.
Those flat un-rutted corners always lead to great passing
James = #7. Malcolm = #27

Stewart return confirmed!

he hasn't even a ride for '19 yet. so anything could happen. besides that we still have a lot of moto's left. look at the 250 class. both top contenders are out.

Thought he was close to a deal for 19 with Yam. Any ways yeh anything could happen. But he definitely looks the goods at the moment outside of Eli and Marv .
That literally blew my mind. Completely balls out , kinda like that nasty scrub James did a couple years ago

That was a slick pass. Barcia is definitely getting back to his former glory. It is great to see. I hope he stays with Yamaha for 2019.

Well, he's making that blue bike look better than ANYBODY has in years...and Yamaha better see what they've got. He seems to be at that line of maturity that combined with his obvious skills on a dirt bike might make him Championship material in the next year or two.
Now that he's finally figure out how to ride a 450, I would say yes he is a Podium threat every weekend.
That pass was insane. Just leaned it over and railed the gas. You could see him set it up in that previous corner. He wanted that position and wasn't going to stop until he had it. He's slowly getting that mentality that he wants to keep up with Eli for longer and longer into the moto.

Not much makes me smile more than seeing Weston go backwards during a moto.

I’m sure Weston gives a poop what he thinks.

What a difference he is to last year when people thought he was washed up. I wonder what really made the difference?
Hopefully he stays on a factory ride if Yamaha don’t keep him but cannot see why they wouldn’t, he is making news stories for them for the right reasons. Needs a win and I think we will see more from him with that confidence.
Weege put it perfectly, "A power move to the inside!" Check out the facefull Barcia gets at 2:17. I believe that might have had something to do with his sense of urgency to dispose of Peick.

Pretty good interview with him here. He talks about actually training LESS that he used to, well on his bicycle anyway. He had a few years in a row with injury after injury.

I think he could be a title threat next year too in SX and MX if he stays 100% healthy.
