Barcia confirmed to stay with Yamaha Factory Racing for 2018?

I believe the deal with Barcia was he rides on a fill-in basis for the first 6 rounds until Davi is good to go again. Marching towards round 5 now and I have not been anything on an extension for Barcia?

Is Davi even cleared to ride and is he back on the bike training, testing, etc?

Has Barcia's deal been extended for the remainder of Supercross for 2018 (crazy not too)?

Barcia was on Pulp and said it wasn't done yet, but that they were talking. It seems 99% likely. He said he doesn't want to go anywhere.

It was pretty obvious from his interview. He is going to stay, but they are working out the details in the contract so not signed yet.

I would have to assume any major negotiation at this point is not as much about 2018 as 2019.

barcia said he wants to stay the rest of his career with the team and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2 or even 3 year deal being announced soon.

I hope he stays. Yamaha needs someone like barcia. Right now they got a full blown factory effort with people who dont deserve the rides. Millsaps and webb arent there.

Justin is definitely bargaining from a position of strength with his fantastic finishes so far this season. Nobody saw this coming, but I'm sure many teams wish that they had.

Yamaha should sign AP23 and JB51 for factory 450 rides for the remaining of 2018 and beyond.

That would be a strong team for Yamaha IMO. Webb needs a new start on a different color, I don't think Davey comes back at all either. He's had a rash of injuries and his chance at a title are about as good as Reed's.

I like Davi and all, but he is really good at getting paid for being injured. Didn't this same thing happen at KTM?
