Did Reed force Barcia to jump off the track? It looked like Barcia was on a mission when he block passed Reed.

It seemed like they came together on the jump face. Barcia was just charging. I think the block pass was clean.

Barcia tried passing on the outside of a 90 degree corner. He knew Reed's line would drift a bit and he went for it anyway. Nothing to see here.

Barcia tried to get by Webb in a right turn after the finish line. Webb locked the rear wheel up and Barcia hit Webb’s rear wheel.

While I know it's instinctual, you should never be WFO if you aren't on the racetrack.

There was nothing wrong with any of it really... Reed actually left Barcia a bit of room and was angling back in off the face... it was tight but Barcia was trying to pass around the outside and drifting a bit so went off track.

He did his pretty typical crazy turn off the brain revenge thing like A1 with Marv to get back on and block... He didn't check once so thank god Malcolm didn't collect him... but in the end it wasn't too bad. He looked like he was going to saw a wheel off entering haha.

I was more bummed because the time up front would have been doing Reedy good.

What's crazy, check out the two screen caps. Take off line and landing position... he went really long too!

Yea it was not a big deal really other than Barcia going long. If he landed where he should have, he would have most likely stayed on the track. He did an amazing job of changing his exit strategy in the air.

Yeah Reedy definitely checked up on the exit so it helped.

I'm always shocked at how many pro riders don't do that, like they've got no awareness or peripheral vision that someone is coming for them with a block pass and they just gas it in to them.

Brayton and Reed both checked up on an occasion last night and lost a place or two instead of picking their bike up and losing everything.

haha I remember Reed mentioned something along those lines about Stewart after one of their more famous 'collisions' (that I'm scared to mention in case of an epic thread derail haha) but he said something like 'I was stopped in front of him and he just gassed it into me' haha

That would be Atlanta 2011 haha... Not sure Stewy was famous for his track awareness, well at least a few other riders would think not.

Is there video of Barcia hitting Reed in the turn before the finish? I was sitting over there and he hit him pretty hard. The crowd got mad.

Lurch was yelling about Barcia being off the track and then about how he has to get back on behind everyone. Then he gets back in line behind Chad and hits him a corner later

I don't think you should be able to set up a block pas from outside the track.

He ran it in deep but they didn't even really touch. Chad checked up as he should in that situation. I wouldn't call it dirty but that's not to say Reed doesn't return the favor.

Barcia didn't do anything against the rules. He reentered the track behind Chad and resumed racing. If he cut across the corner that he reentered to block pass Reed, I'd fully agree with you but as you said, it was a turn later.

If anyone should have an issue, it's Mookie but honestly, there is nothing here guys. Let it go.

Video is here. 450 moto 2 around the 2:35 mark.

Too many of these guys seem to just ride it high and wide and give the position away when they know they are about to be block passed however Stew used to check up on entry to a corner when someone was trying to block him and then cut down and inside so hard and keep the position. I know people still do the same type of move but not the severity to which he used to do it. He'd cut down so tight that he'd almost end up riding back up the rhythm lane he'd just come down.

Yep, or if Malcolm was half a second closer cause he certainly didn't check first!
