JB17 is here racing Larocco's #5 CR250 2 stroke and putting on a show jumping the leap and laying it flat over ever bump and jump imagineable. Jeremy Martin and Cooper Webb had a great race in 250b heat 2 and Webb narrowly got the win after Martin tipped over with 2 laps to go. Over 900 riders here for the ProAm today. DD

That's pretty funny... if you listen to EMIG he states all the time that 2T's can't hit that, and other big jumps, anymore. They are
too big and only 4T's can cause they are sooooo much more powerful!

I don't really care either way, 2T's or 4T's, but when you hear someone BS'ing the masses it's hellarious!

I hope someone recorded that and uploads it... I'd like to see it.

Tim, don't ask. It's European for, "The older I get, the better those bikes were." Wink

Aww we need a video of this. I wonder what barcia thought of it.

That bike is sex, funnily enough a friend dug up some old amsoil graphics for a klx 110 in his shed on the weekend, needless to say, scored some red plastics and snapped them up for mine. Just need to get some 5's made up.

Pretty sure Emig refers to the 125cc two stroke not being able to get over Larocco's Leap and the bigger jumps there

Barcia was riding Larocco's 250cc two stroke...jus' saying

And i reckon he was saying in the first moto coverage that back on the 250 2t days, they'd have to hit it perfect and pinned, where as now they can do it with a bit more easy, hugging the inside, getting alot of wheelspin and still clearing it easily.

It was awesome seeing Barcia riding there on Sunday. My oldest son was in the 250 Pro am moto with him. Barcia started dead last behind the gate and than took off. He did hit the leap at least once or twice but cased the rear rim pretty hard one time. He did not line up for moto 2, the talk was he broke the rear rim in moto 1.

By the way the leap was the hardest I had seen it in recent years on Saturday.

Sorry no Video..
All I have are these crappy photos.. by the time I saw him it was to late to move much. 5 laps is way to short to get to the other side of the track. I decided to wait for second motos but he left and didn't race them.
So these will have to suffice..

As always Gibby you have the right to pull these if some silly industry guy feels they will hurt his career somehow..

Barcia was railing, only did the leap twice and barely made it, pretty cool to see him out there. I was really hoping someone would have got footage. he came over below the flag pole and spent some time talking to fans and getting a few pics with them to after the 450 moto. we almost stayed to watch second motos but kind of glad we left now.

I had Martin at a 2:17 flat without doing the leap in his first open moto. granted the track was pretty fresh then but that's hauling. I messed up the timing on his and Webb's first 250 moto together, but I would say it was real close to that also and the track had gotten rougher, not Saturday rough but those two were on it. Suzuki prolly itchin for Martin to move up. wouldn't surprise me to see him pull a Dungey although I was thinking I read he said he wanted to be on the line at Hangtime 2012.

Let's put it this way, I would have had the video but I had plans on Sunday that I had to get to. Otherwise, I would have been there. Even Justin told me as soon as he found out Saturday night that I was going to miss out. Next time......

Barcia hit the leap once. Railed the turn, had the throttle wide open till about 40 feet after leaving the take off, and made it by inches. And the bike was the most crisp sounding 250 I've heard in years. About 5 people in the world could hit that thing on a two stroke, at least as it was yesterday.

Did anyone get Barcias lap times to see how they compared to his 250f.
I doubt anyone did.
If someone did, they are out of their minds to go out of their way to do that. Haha.
But I get what you mean.

Did they increase the size of the landing jump on LaRocco's Leap? It looked different to me on the telecast.

If i was there i would have got his lap times just out of curiosity if it would be similar to his lap times on his 250f. I am positive he is faster on the four stroke due to the fact he has been riding them for so long now.
