Barcia

Typical Bam Bam not making any friends out there...he should have latched on to Tomac's rear wheel and reeled in Bagget. Instead they lost a bunch of time playing cat and mouse...

I've never been a Barcia fan, at all. I saw nothing wrong with the way he raced Tomac for position.

Tomac was ruined by the time he got around Barcia.. Was almost thinking he was going to pump up and end up going backwords. Racing Bam bam must just suck so bad.

Dunno why Tomac was put out by Barcia. Barcia is still in this (points wise); he needs to earn positions and move forward too.

Yep. Barcia is responsible for his race, not Tomac's chances to make up ground on others. He battled Tomac hard but did nothing even close to over the line. I don't know what Roczen was upset about because it wasn't shown, but these guys aren't paid to go out there and roll over and just slot into orderly position.

You don't see anything wrong with racing backwards? Far enough to bring another guy back into the mix? To make a feeble attempt at holding 4th instead of racing forward?

It was pure stupidity. Quite typical too, unfortunately.

A podium was still on the table until that cat and mouse game.

What an idiot. Tomac did absolutely nothing that would warrant this sort of riding. Barcia is going to take himself out of the title fight with that sort of bullshit
Thank God he's not French or the rednecks would be all over him

Yea but look how much time it cost both of them. They were 2 secs behind baggett. After the end of that battle they were almost 5.

If it's the last lap or two, sure, race Tomac like Barcia did. It wasn't though. Barcia should have accepted the pass and tried to latch on. Barcia is lucky Roczen didn't get by.

He did what he had to do, to not lose any more points. He’s not that far back and every position means something with bonuses too. Nothing dirty, but he’s not going to make any new friends riding like that every weekend !

Roczen didn't want anything to do with Barcia.

Exactly!

I can understand aggressive racing when it's to speed up the pace and move forward.
Banging and block passing is all good in my book.
But trying to play a slower chess match that only slows down the pace makes no sense to me.
I did however find it funny when Roczen showed him a wheel...
He seemed to knock it off after that.

he sure acts like a toolbag sometimes. Those were super desperate attempts. Knowing tomac is just going to blow by him and leave him in the dust anyways. All he is doing is making himself look bad.

Tomac dusted him by a whole 2 seconds.

Barcia isn't lucky Roczen didn't get by. He battled and contested the position. Tomac was able to complete the pass and Roczen was not.

Apparently this is not what racers are supposed to do.

Yeah I somewhat agree.. I'd totally agree if it later in the race but I'd suggest it might've been a smarter play to, as the OP said try to latch onto the faster man and maybe get closer to the top 3..
But that said his actions stopped two of his main competitors getting as many points as they could've as he stalled Tomac's progression and psyched out Kenny

I can’t believe he is a 5-7 guy. (he has lots of 250 phenom company).

He killed on the 250, saw him race in TO...he disappeared. Baggett looked about as comfortable on the track as chicken in a hen house back then.

Tomac looked beaten, check qualifying.

Hard passes, block passes seem alright. Cross jumping and brake checking would probably get under the skin quick.

Exactly what I said in the night show thread. And the only reason Tomac had to play like that was because he knew he couldn't leave Barcia an opportunity to completely clean him out. If Barcia watches it back does anyone here think he gets why Tomac was pissed? I'm guessing he's just like "what, me??"

Every time I start gaining respect for Barcia, he always does something to lose my respect. Tomac gave the position back to Bam Bam, and then passed him back. Also, why did Barcia check up in the left hand turn when Roczen pulled up close to him ?? Kinda difficult to figure Barcia out.

But that's whole point here. Tonight Barcia actually had very good speed and a good start. If he doesn't get into this crap with Tomac they could have both raced forward and potentially been fighting for the podium or possibly the win. Instead his toolbag riding guaranteed him no better than 5th.

Everyone goes off by what they see on the TV screen because that’s all we have. BUT! If you check the ACTUAL lap times. Barcia put down a faster lap then Tomac did tonight and his last lap was faster. The gap was 2.4 at the line

The only way I agree with any of the "let him pass and race to the front together koombiyo bs" is if its anyone other than Tomac, Kenny and maybe Webb.. Why would he let a guy in front of him in the championship pass him? Asinine way of thinking.

I agree he didn’t do anything wrong. Instead; he did something stupid by not giving himself a shot at a podium. Race forward to baggett and then start battling for 3rd with Tomac and Baggett

I thought barcia did exactly what any rider should do. He faught to hold his position.
"Oh he could have let tomac by (lost a position)then caught bagett (gained a position)
Well if that hypothetical situation payed out which it probably wouldn't he would still be in the same position as if he didn't let tomac by. He knew catching and passing baggett was a long run at mid point in the race, and he knew if he just let tomac by tomac would be gone and he wouldn't get another shot at making up the position.

Yeah, but Barcia got caught and passed. So what? Barcia thinks he’s all the sudden going to be able to go faster than the guy that just caught him and passed him? Yeah let’s run it in and try these stupid ass block passes on the guy that just passed me.

I Can’t stand the guy. I don’t like whiners. He’s always pulled dick moves, but when someone does it to him, let’s cry about it.

So, pointing out Barcia's lack of wisdom automatically = not liking aggressive riding. Grinning

I fuckin love this forum.
