I really have no idea, but I'm sure I saw him mashing the starter button and by the way he gestured with his hands the starter wasn't working.

Do the Yamahas have an extra start switch?

I saw that Tomac’s bike, and the KTMs I think, have another switch hidden away in case the one on the bars is damaged.

I was watchin him when it happened. He was rippin in 3rd and his bike just stopped going forward over one of the mud humps (jumps). Looked like a smoked clutch.

I noticed it looked like he was rowing the gearbox, trying to get it to neutral. They drug it off the track with the rear wheel locked up. Maybe tranny?
