Did anyone catch Monster Energys Presents - The Desert Assassins Rip to the Tip Featuring Cameron Steele & Friends? Yes, I know, a bit of a long title but that's what it was called. I saw it on Fuel Tv the other night. It was a 30 minute program with Cam and about 20 other riders going from Tecate to Cabo and a good bit of it was ridden on the Baja course.

After watching it, I had to search for more info, and I found out at the end of the credits there was a website I could check out called - Baja Bound Moto ( http://www.bajaboundmoto.com/ ) where you could basically do the same thing as Cam; OR actually compete in the Baja through one of their programs!

I am NOT affiliated with this group (not spamming), like I said I was interested in it, and would like to someday go on this trek... this is something I think would actually be cool to get a VITAL MX group ride going on!!!
Thoughts???

Rip to the Tip?

On T.V.?

I heard that the guy on the Kawi is a real A-Hole!

Cam and the Rip-Vet's put on one helluva ride.

Bruce Hendel form V.P. Race-Fuel and a coupl'a the Mullisha-types are part of that clan...good peep's, all.

T'was my 1st time ridin' in Baja. I've already been back. And I'm goin' again.

They do a thing in July called "The Baja-Beach-Bash"...Epic.

Johnny Campbell and the JCR guys are part of the Bash and they make it realllly...well...fast! Colton's a NUT!

The Baja 1000 is a challenge and it's pretty damn dangerous.

Keep all the people down there in your toughts and prayers...

It can be fun as long as you prerun all your areas a million times I thought!! Rode it for a couple of years and didn't have a incidents (booby traps) but got caught in 94 after our helicopter got rerouted to help our other team, went to sleep for a month or so!! The boys thought it would be funny to dig some holes on the other side of a rise the night before the race after I had prerun it several times!! Was radared 128mph right before the biff!! Don't remember it to this day. Hospitals suck and it's too friggin dangerous, hats off to JCR (Johnny Campbell) for achieving so many wins with that adversity.. Give me the Ascerbis Rally in Nevada any day, good hospitals, good organization, etc.

No Honda won, started 2 1/2 minutes behind the Kawi, close race though. If you remember last year Honda won also but go dq'ed for course allegations, it ain't official yet!!
