This is such an epic and legendary race though such a pity. Dakar is no longer in Dakar. Baja has to be in Baja. What going on with the world ?
As a result, there are 45 motorcycles entered in the race. That is less than half of what it used to be.
I'll be a backup next year. Can't wait to get down there again.
The border and the border culture has changed. No way to deny it. You absolutely should be aware. Stuff does happen, its not urban myth. But beyond the border and deeper south, its still the Mexico I have been experiencing and loved since a teen. While I have had a few bad experiences over the decades, for the most part they have been overwhelming good. There are some places and things I no longer do.... same can be said other countries, even my own. I still go because I experience some of the friendliest, helpful and generous people I have ever encountered.
Its a huge, populous, and diverse country just like our own US of A. Tough to paint any country so large and so populous with one stroke of the brush.
While I dont and never did have the skill or support to race the Mil, I've always been a fan. I'm like a kid in awe still when I run into some of those that have competed in it at the highest levels. Someday I may do the NORRA Mexican 1000. Seems to be a little more achievable for the average rider like myself.
Baja F' Yeh!
Have you heard anything about someone "buying" SCORE from Roger?

The injured Colton Udall celebrates a new victory in the Baja 1000
Entonada, Baja California - Colton Udall injured his collarbone one day before seeking his third win in Baja 1000, but his teammates OX Motorsports did it for him. And they did well.
Therefore, when they arrived as unofficial winners of the 49th edition of Score International's event, the favorite of the category Pro Moto Unlimited recognized "the great team" that counts.
"It's not just me. Mark (Samuels), David (Kamo) and Justin (Jones) did it terrifically, "he said at the end of the 854-mile course after midnight Saturday over the goal on Ensenada's coastal boulevard.
