We all hate to see a rider go down hard and this one was a kid, maybe 15? Happened on the down side of the log jump just before turning right and going to Talladega. I was on the gate (race 8) and walked over a few minutes after it happened and it did not look good at all.
They life flighted him out. PRAYING he's OK.
My sincerest and best thoughts to the family and racer.
Hope to hear back on this forum with good news.

As far as hearing about this in a chat room....well boys, this IS part of the sport. And when your there and physically watch something like this go down, you'd be a cold heartless person if you did not immediately become emotionally involved.
Let's not forget that these kinda things are more likely to happen just driving around town. You count your blessings, pray for the family, and continue living. Our lives are in Gods hands and you never know when and if you'll be directly involved or impacted next.
a very close friend had a similar situation and ended up having a stroke. he will never be the same again and it's so sad to see happen, especially to someone so young.
best wishes to the young man and his family
Prayers sent!
