Last year at Oakland, I was told no backpacks allowed in the stadium, due to them selling geico and monster backpacks in the pits, does anyone know if backpacks will be allowed in this season? Due to taking the train to the stadium this poses a problem to some people if they bring a backpack and have nowhere to stow it...

I don't think they will let you in the stadium or pits period with a back pack. it's a security deal.

Thank you for your Insight, They have let me in with a backpack every year with the exception of last year with the reason being that they sold backpacks in the pits (same reason as outside umbrellas being banned) and also, diaper bags and large purses are allowed with a quick search so there shouldn’t be a problem with backpacks. I’m looking for someone who has been to the first three rounds who can tell me if backpacks were allowed in the pits.

At A2 backpacks were okay.

Just hide your beers in your hoodie to sneak them in. Heard that works really well in Oakland.

Moonshine in the pant leg, ya walk a little funny but it gets the job done. $14 for a bud light, kiss my ass.
Side note: does anyone know if you still need just an empty monster can to get into the pits? I'd like to get my fix of billet and titanium..

I got into A1 and A2 with a backpack. They just open it up and check it.

From what I believe, if it’s a baseball stadium you can take a back pack. If it’s a football stadium you can’t.
Previous years I have taken a back pack into Anaheim stadium, but not allowed into Glendale or Oakland.

Different stadiums have different policies.

No backpacks whatsoever in Oakland. I had a clear one and they wouldn’t let me in because it had backpack straps, I ran around looking for scissors to cut the straps off couldn’t find any. Went to another gate and they let me in but pretty much everyone will tell you no backpacks.

Do monster cans still work to get into the pits this year?

509 guy, your reply was speculation, I was looking for a definitive answer from someone who had been in the pits during the 2019 season.

They did in Glendale. No backpacks. And a new one for me was no chewing tobacco.

I was at A2 and I took a small backpack in with me.

Pretty sure the bag and security polices are specific to the stadium and/or the league. It seems as though all the NFL stadiums are on the "clear bag only" policy, at least that was the case with both Santa Clara in 2015 and 2016, and Seattle in 2017 and 2018. Anaheim Stadium has a 16"x16"x8" bag policy but it can be any type of bag. And honestly there were a lot of bags bigger than that going through security last Saturday. So for the OP, double-check the Oakland Stadium security policies and follow those.

And a Monster can gets you pit access as normal, just look for the can drop and stamp spot before you enter the stadium.
