nothing quite like a visor slap to the cross bar pad
I was at Glen Helen a few weeks ago and Barcia was doing the visor slap to croosbar off this little tiny mound of dirt..laughing, love me some Barcia Barcia Barcia style.

Yet more proof we need more and bigger jumps in MX today.

If this guy really likes bikes he needs to try Speedway where there isnt any jumps!

250 "F" would be much more suitable for that bro's level of throttle control!

Poor guy has more videos, seems he is equal opportunity on the 2 vs 4 thing when it comes to videos of crashing himself.

That looked/sounded painful. This was posted on brotocross.com last week.

Here is what Eazy had to say:

"I noticed in the video description that the dude is not very proud of this, but I think he is way off base with that sentiment. Casing medium sized triples then whiskey throttling your shit through a fence that’s a mile away is the boss lifestyle eight days a week. When you are running a CR250 with a tramp stamp on the front number plate, it’s pretty much in the job description."

Some serious Monday morning quarterbacking here. Anyone who hasn't done something at least similar doesn't ride! I'd have some great video too if we would have had GoPros in the late 70s and early 80s.

Joe Rice, writing from the hospital, via FB:

Thanks everybody. And Hunter: no way. As hard as I hit, if I didn't bale, I would have a broken back or paralyzed. Almost guarantee it.

Definitely didn't get up. Broke both legs(tibs and fibs) fixed with rods, and shattered my ankle in 8 spots. Gotta wait to do that surgery. So I'm sitting in the hospital with a shattered foot for a couple of days, to a week.

Plus the tibs and fibs came through the skin on both sides.

I landed frame into the landing. If I was still on, there was no suspension and my back woulda been the first to go. At least when I bailed off, my legs soaked up the impact somewhat. Even though the broke. Better than nothing.

Stories like this is why I keep beating the drum for more real MX tracks and less jump infested accidents waiting for a place to happen.

When Go Pro says, "Be a hero" this is not what they mean.
