Saw Ryan Sipes post about how Hodges is going to give the Indiana round a go! Cool to see someone from a whole different discipline venture out and try something new. Best of luck to him.

Been seeing on Facebook that Steward Baylor said there's a case of beer in it for him if he makes it 2 laps.

I dig watching these free riders enter Pro events seeing where they stack up.

He is very fast, never made it to the mx/sx top but as a kid he was scary fast... he will leave with a decent result

Ironman is a bucket list race for me. Track always looks really fun and and from the gopros it looks to be on the fast side. Hopefully he has a good time.

This MFer can't ride a moto track without a "look at me" stunt. God speed in the trees son.

I assume he will be in the morning race.. I'll be there for the first time since 2003.
I now have a goal besides riding and having fun. I'd like to beat him...

Hes racing the industry class. He will be racing in the morning against women and the C classes with an hour shorter race. Hes not racing against the Pro, A or even B classes. I'm not knocking him, hes not an offroad guy and might as well race the morning race. Just giving some facts before people get too excited and think we're gonna get to actually see how he does against the best riders.

Go get em buddy. Hes gonna have speed but as we all know consistency and endurance are very important at a GNCC as well.

If you don't like the dude then just say that.

No ones calling him a pussy. I like him and love his content. We're just clarifying what class he's racing since a lot of people here dont follow the GNCC series. Most people here probably thought he was lining up against Stew Baylor, Duvall, Russell, Kelley, etc. I dont know why people here are so sensitive about everything.

They hate because they don’t have his talent nor money.

Like James Franco said,” they hate us cause they anus”

I don’t think people hate him, you know generally in our sport you got to be fast and you have to have some type of race craft in your discipline. He’s been able to make a lot of money with freestyle, As for the majority of them Moto followers freestyle just isn’t some thing that really excites us. I think the majority of people on off-road motorcycles are racers in some regard, most regard actually. So these people are just pointing out the fact that he’s probably not gonna do all that well, the same people on the other side would be saying the same thing if duvall just signed up for some freestyle comp, etc...

I've been one to somewhat criticize the kid in the past but I think he will surprise everyone. He's tough and I bet he does very well and grits this thing out for the case of beer !!

I have been amazed by his talent and bike control. If the Ironman is a complete pigpen, as everyone is expecting it to be, he will probably get a taste of complete lack of control and misery lol

There are some really fast people in the industry class. The first couple O/A positions could probably finish around top 50 O/A in the afternoon race. They're no slouches much like some of the pro class women. They're very good riders.

Yep. Hes a phenomenal rider and he keeps himself in shape. Theres no doubt in my mind he can go out there and do two laps. We're not talking about the Tennessee Knockout here.

Yea if he’s racing the morning race I think he can get top 50. Also morning race isn’t just women and C riders the sportsman A and sportsman B riders aren’t slouches. At high point this year there was 80 riders in sportsman B. and I don’t think people realize how similar it is to moto. Gncc to me is like moto with way bigger bumps and some trees.

He's racing the Industry Class, I believe, which is in the morning race and only 2 hrs. He won't be racing the badasses in the afternoon. But it is great to have some cross-over. Good for the sport. It could turn out to be a mudder. Ironman Hill is a b*tch if it's sloppy.

Gotcha. I searched for "gncc industry class" and couldn't find anything, not even on the gncc site. I don't think racing the morning race is anything to be ashamed of. I'm pretty sure Shane Watts has raced it, among other notables
