JT$ just dropped that little nugget on pulp last night. I say good for the kid. He makes more than any of the struggling privateers and isn’t busting his ass to make it. It’s insane to me the money these energy drink companies can pump out!

That actually seems low. The ROI for the companies that pay him is probably better than most of the guys that race every Saturday. He doesnt get the TV time but I can almost guarantee he gets double the engagements that any of those guys are getting on social media.
90k isnt all that much in california money is it? Isnt that comparable to 50k for normal people
90k is decent to ride a dirt bike, but living in socal that isn't a lot of money for an annual salary.
90k for just a salary is pretty good. I'm sure with other sponsors and appearance money he is pushing 200k.
I think a lot of you guys are comparing this to your perspectives: someone with a family, wife, mortgage...
90k for a 21(?) year old kid who probably still lives at home is pretty dang good imo.
he's found a way to earn money riding his dirt bike, he's way ahead of most at this point

Monster: 90k
events: 2k-10k each
Sponsors: $?
He's hitting Mexico Spring Break, Nascar events, his video's and commercials. Free bikes parts and gear. He's doing good.

To say he isn't busting his ass is a bit of a stretch. Sure he gets to make money "play" riding, but I can guarantee the there is also a lot of hard work that comes with that territory, especially with money and sponsor expectations involved.

If I made the same amount of money I do now but got free bikes and gear, I’d be a lot richer.
I would have thought it would be higher than that. Think of how much $ goes into each of the commercials he is in. I would be stoked to make that playriding if my old ass could throw whips like that. Good for him.

It doesn’t.
90k in cali might keep some weed in the bowl , other then that its not doing much considering his overhead .

There are countless other dudes benefiting from nepotism (which, admittedly, Axell does) that make far more and do far less, even within this small industry.
90k a year from monster alone? Im sure he makes double that if you add everything together from other sponsors.
With all that talent it sounds like a 10th of what he should be bringing in. How would he do on a SX track? Not being a smart ass....I have no idea
Keep in mind his room and board is probably covered when he is traveling, so he is eating and living for free for quite a bit of the year. 90k goes a LONG way when you don't have to spend any.
Wealth isn't necessarily determined by how much you make, sometimes it is about how much you save.

I doubt that. I don't see him actively promoting a lot of other branding. His social media promotion is pretty much relegated to his own brand, Seven, BTO (who is the primary retailer for his personally branded merchandise), and Monster. I'd bet aside from Monster, those deals are more cash shy, but maybe business partnership rich.
If anyone else was dropping even low five figures, he'd be singing their praises from the social media heavens, given that is what you are buying into with a sponsorship in him.

Between his race results and what we have heard here, he has made a pretty savvy decision career-wise.
Based on his Loretta's career I would say he wouldn't make a main or score points at a national, because if he could he probably would have already. I can't even find record of him racing...maybe he did but he didn't make the night show or make the motos.
With that said I do have a friend who didn't have an outstanding Loretta's career but earned a top 100 number back in the 2008 - 2009 time frame.
At the end of the day I think its pretty cool he gets to ride a dirt bike and make money doing it. He's giving his sponsors a ton of publicity. I would love to know how much Seven is paying him. You would think a Fox/Shift would go after him though.
