Unfortunately on Saturday the 29th of September Victorian Rider Christina Vithoulkas, 23 years old, crashed while jumping a freestyle ramp, Paramedics rushed Christina to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where it was discovered that she had severed her spinal cord, broken several vertebrae, lacerated her spleen and torn several ligaments in her neck.

Just recently Engaged to her partner James this has devastated them and their family. Her partners sister has setup a go fund me account to help them to make the next stages of their life a little easier.

I have supported her since she started riding and she doesn’t deserve this.

If anyone is interested I have attached the go fund me link to this and any well wishes or support I will forward to her to bring her spirits up in this tough time.

Thankyou,
Tom Carroll

This is the exact injury I hate to hear happen in this sport. So sorry to hear this!!SadSadSad

Things happen, the only constant in life is change, good or bad. The most important thing is to make every day count, because you aren't promised another moment. So make them all count no matter what the situation. Stay strong girl!

She's staying positive and that just shows how strong of a person she really is.

From a post on Instagram here's what she had to say.

"Christina’s words; Unfortunately things aren’t going too be the same for me anymore, I’m going too learn how too use a wheelchair & adapt too my new lifestyle. Thank you for all the positive support that you guys have given me through this time so far I love you all!!"

Oh man that really sucks to hear!

If she or anyone in her circle needs or wants to talk to someone (who's been there) chuck me a DM and I'll be happy to have a chat

Bummed for her. We need more women/girls in this sport. Hope she and her family are able to cope well with this.

contact road to recovery - not sure if they support down in aus - but they know the ins and outs on how to get funding - not get taxed so hard (here) and If Im not mistaken go fundme takes a large cut too.

Really sad to hear about her injury - not something anyone should ever have to go through.

Set up a GoFundMe page and throw it up here. I myself will kick some and I'm sure others here will too.

some one posted her X rays on IG. I did not need to see that. This sport is ruthless.
Chest down for life. Best wishes in recovery and adapting. Just so sad. makes my stomach and heart ache.
