Sure were a lot of empty seats, even in the lower levels and trackside.

A long way from the 70k sellouts.

Anybody hear a figure on turnout?

15 years of nearly identical tracks will have that effect.

Looked pretty full to me especially with the higher ticket prices. Was it maxed out full? No. But it was pretty full for a niche event I feel.

Yeah I felt like there was a good crowd. I’ve seen better but overall I think it was a good turnout.

It was a good crowd, not a sell out for sure but a good crowd!

It was deceiving, once you went to get a beer or food(even during the race) there were tons of people everywhere.
There is so much to going on, and things to do at that stadium, with TV's everywhere.

So seeing a few empty seats here or there kind of made sense once you see the million other places people were.

It sure was loud during 450 main 1 when the leaders started bunching up.

Yeah definitely not the consistent sell outs that there used to be in Atlanta. I’ve seen a lot of low attendance this year. Maybe people decided it’s just fine to watch at home.

motocross racing and riding have been on a serious decline here in Georgia over the last ten years and I think that is reflected in the attendance at our supercross.

Five years ago the GA dome would be at full capacity. This week the new dome was 3/4 full at best. Ticket prices were reductions too. I'm not sure why but what was supposed to be a $65 ticket ended up being $120 or more in some sections.

Motoheads that live in the inner city of major metros should attend. Outside of that the cost of travel, hotels, parking and tickets make the tv coverage a real value. The riders don't make a dime off the door so no loss if live attendance is poor.

This is the first year I've missed in a long time. The tickets weren't too much initially, but after all the crazy fees were tacked on I was spending hundreds on a family of five for crappy seat.

ATL has to one of the best-most enthusiastic crowds of the entire tour.

New stadiums always look empty on TV. Lots of people checking out the concourse between motos.

Here's a pathetic picture I took right about the time the corks popped. LOTS of hardcore fans to enjoy all of it. :-(

As soon as the top three crossed the line, you would have thought the PA announcer said BOMB THREAT or FIRE people were leaving so fast.

That's every event. People try to beat the traffic. Whether it's Anaheim or NFL games, people bail quick.

The biggest issue is ticket prices have gone up considerably since the Georgia Dome sell outs. Back in the sell out era the upper deck seats were under $20. When ticket prices go up, ticket sells go down.

Speaking of which, I got my ticket as a gift. How much was a third level seat price?? section 326

We left slowly. Missed a ton of traffic by cutting through six miles of the city that was not up for a beautification award.

The TicketBastard fees were 35% of my ticket price. Something has to be done with this. 2 - $25 tickets ended up being $76 after fees.

I remember the first time I went to the ATL SX, the night before the race the local tv was advertising nosebleeds for no more than $20. $15 if I remember correctly.

The seats were crammed together. It would have been comfortable for a group of ten year olds.

Thanks for the seat dimensions.

Claimed attendance (per their post-race PR) was 60,114.
