Anyone know where they are? Wasn't sure if still in the basement of the world congress center or not. I haven't heard of entry times or if an empty monster can will still get you in...?

Same pit location as last year and I think the empty monster can to get in the pits is pretty standard per monster sponsoring the entire series.

Taking my 10 and 12 year old boys along with my dad to the race this weekend. We were hoping to watch some of the mid afternoon qualifying and possibly get a few autographs. What is the best time to head to the pits and see the guys hanging out and signing? Looks like the 2nd qualifying session happens around 2:15 until about 5 or thereabouts.

The best time is right after group A session 2 because there is a break between session 2 and 3.

Thanks, I guess you are referring to practice being 1st session, and qualifying being sessions 2 and 3? So the best time would be about 1:30? Not certain my boys have the attention span to make it 10 hours at the stadium. May plan on showing up at the LCQ races and just walk through the pits after. Probably will not have many autograph chances at that time, though.

In years past the pits closed 2hrs or so before the night show began so I wouldn't wait too long to get there. I looked at the venue map and its a good walk from the pits to new stadium. I'd say a good 8-10mins.

ATL pits are always totally packed; a sea of elbows and assholes. Last year the line just to get in when they opened was a good several hundred feet long
