Yes, in 2017, Daytona was 20 laps while the rest of the races were 20 minutes plus 1. What gives, this is sacrilege

Yeah I remember that, the first year they had switched to timed races and Daytona being a non feld (or lesser) event said nah we’re good and stayed with laps.

yup, in 2017 they ran 20 laps in the 450, 15 in the 250....since then it's been 18 laps - 450, 14 laps - 250 every year

Compared to the animated track map, looks like they added a tunnel before the whoops that are before the sand rollers. Whoops look big under the tarps; hopefully, Roger doesn't put in a request. Also noticed that they ditched the wall before the sand section, which I know riders have (justifiably) bitched about before due to the insane roost they get when coming over the wall. Track looks awesome.

I hope they pulled the dirt from the airport area that's adjacent to the speedway. We used to have a practice track there and the dirt was primo. Had some silt mixed with the red clay and it could hold water well.

Definitely a bummer since that was our best chance at seeing some footage on a dry track.

Hopefully we can have a nice track next Saturday. Not expecting that great of a track on Tuesday, but you never know.

It's for a Monster truck stunt according to the Weege show...

Track length and amount of dirt used is almost equal to 3 regular SX tracks.
